While Fell Seal is probably the better game if you are looking to scratch that FFT itch, this game has surprising depth in it's simplified menuless combat system

While it does have a few moments of charm and humor, overall it was rather disappointing. The gameplay consists of walking around a circular area, picking up five pies for the beginning of a chain of fetchquests where each required item is given to you as a reward for the previous one. You can also ask the same two questions to each character for some exposition and jokes but they really have no impact as it is simply the fetchquests that move the game forward and not any line of questioning or clue gathering that one might expect from a game with "detective" in the name.

This is not a mystery game. It is a linear slog. I would not even recommend this game to a child.
