After wasting about 450 hours of my life and a certain amount of money into this game, I figured that it probably deserves a near positive comment from a pretentious and nitpicky knob like myself.

It all started about 4 years ago. As i was surfing through the vastness of the Internet, i stumbled upon a review of a game named Payday: The Heist which was about bank robberies, kidnaping and a lot of other stuff those 4 blokes sitting on a huge pile of cash in suits and clown masks with their weapons on display would normally do, and decided to try it out myself. As it turned out a few of my friends were already very much into it which i found funny, considering that i did not find the game amusing to any extent. The gameplay felt akward and repetative, the interface was uncomfortable, the progression was about as straight forward as an intestinal tract and it all generally felt like some wannabe Left 4 Dead with police officers instead of zombies (the music was cool, though). So I was left disapointed with this wasted opportunity.

2 years later however my thoughts on the franchise changed with the release of this time consuming and wallet sucking tw@ Payday 2. It had become superior in many different ways: the heists are more varid, the progression is more clear, actual cash you get off the jobs and plenty of fully customisable guns to spend it on. It was somewhat buggy at release, though. E.g. a few dozen hours into the game all my progress suddenly dropped. I was p*ssed and deleted the game for about a month (thankfully this was patched by the time i gave the game another shot). Another thing is paid DLCs (i understand there's no way around that nowadays but still). Some are decent, some are average, some are complete waste, most of them cost the same and they all feel like a subscriber fee in MMORPGs. And yes, the broke d*ck piece of sh*t drill.

In conclusion i'd like to say that despite all the downsides this game has, it kicks ass a lot, aspecially with a group of friends, skype and a beer. If you don't have this game yet and feeling like spending a tonn of some time and money, go out, get it and get some friends to buy it as well, you won't regret it unless you're a hardcore uber realistic military shooter type in which case i feel sorry for you .
