Absolutely fantastic experience, would die screaming again - the comedic timing and hidden voice acting talents this game extracts are one of a kind.

With the new additions, absolutely worth it. Not that it wasn't before, but it feels more well-rounded now for sure.

(Joke aside, you should absolutely pick this up. Super fun and surprisingly easy to get into once you wrap your head around how it works out, very fun build ideas right out the gate!)

Updating my review to reflect the updates - I was already recommending it before, just with the caveat of "maybe going for a 100% was not exactly worth the time" but I take all of that back now - go for it, play it all, see it all, it's worth it for sure.

Game is super fun, build options are varied, story's great and you get to listen to banging tunes the entire time. Props to the devs for listening to all the feedback and acting on it, too!

Edit: Latest patch fixed the freezes. Performance is still iffy but the game is a lot of fun when it actually lets you play the darn thing.

Performance issues all around. It runs okay, but it regularly freezes and the addition of mandatory EA Play that takes endless time troubleshooting just to sign into the damn thing for the first time is a joke.

Writing a review just because there's way too many negative ones for no good reason. The game's excellent, UI is actually pretty good, you get all the info you could possibly want and then some, my only real gripe is that you can't seem to tell the range of some spells during deck building which feels like a bit of an oversight - some spells turn out to have really weird AoEs or insane range which wasn't *really* clear from just the card description, which is weird, considering they tell you every other single detail.

Other than that, stellar gameplay, highly recommended, don't listen to the negative reviews.

Play almost any board game in existence. Easily prototype your own. 'Nuff said.

Grab a friend and have a blast for around 3-4 hours until the campaign is out of levels. Very addicting in that special way - PvP is underwhelming with just two people, but I'm sure if you can find three or four friends it'd be a great experience, too!

Absolutely stellar.

If the store page's screenshots and video haven't sold you on the art yet, there is SO much to enjoy, explore and find here - the game is chock-full with little details and wonderful dialogue. If you're fairly thorough as I was, you can expect to beat the game in around 5 to 6 hours, but those hours are tightly packed into an experience I'll be remembering for a long time.

Also do yourself a favour and frequently check both the "Case Notes" and the "Yokai Book" from the menu whenever they're updated - not only are they useful for when you get lost or forget what to do next, the "Case Notes" are a wonderful tool to breathe even more life into the characters, while the "Yokai Book" has a lot of fascinating information on Yokai (that I can only assume is also accurate with the real deal) and world building within the game's own universe.

I don't want to spoil anything story related here, so give it a go yourself, you won't regret it!~
