If you plan on playing public games from the launcher I hope you know how to type quickly and clearly for teammates. Keep in mind with a random public lobby people normal leave right away if they are not impostor or just leave the game after being killed. You can find games in the official among us discord[discord.gg], which is really hit or miss on games. Just be warned some people will ruin games, before they leave voice channel they will call out the impostor and leave.

Its a lot more fun with a full group of 10 friends, 2 of which will be impostors during game, with visual tasks off. After a lot of trial and error we found its the most fun. With a group of 8 or less, we typically do 1 impostor with the same settings. I think the hardest part is for people not to take the game too seriously or take it personally when they get called out. It can get very heated, but if you keep a cool head its worth it.
