It's not impossible but most difficult as it would require reverse engineering to figure out what kind of network packets the game send and expects from the server. It would also require programming the server software.

what would be the possibility to have a dedicated server type of situation? i'm not a coder or anything but something similar to what Conquest of Elysium finally did with server. one person could setup a game and others could join. This is like one of my favorite games of all time and i'm quite an old gamer :) to see it grow and continue makes me very happy. I am always trying to get other to play multiplayer.

PvP is possible. With hotseat mode there are no problems with PvP between several players. If I am to implement the LAN functionality, it would only allow 1v1 PvP unless I rewrite a lot of the network code.

Hello. Currently, with the official server offline, the only way for multiplayer is hotseat, which allows up to 16 human players. With Steam Remote Together you can play from afar. However, you will be able to see what other players are doing and you will have to do turns one by one.

I've been planning to look in implementing a LAN functionality, which would give you simultaneous turns like when playing through the official server, and it would also allow remote play with Hamachi. I can't say with 100% certainty that it's possible but it looks like it would be possible.

Hello Jag! I Have a question for you. What is the best way to host a mp session these days for Eador? Remote play > hotseat: shard, for up to 4 players? Is there any other way to get more into a mp session? Ie, maybe Hamachi virtual network for up to more than 4 players via hotseat: shard? trying to get my friends into a big game of Eador! Also, with fixers is it possible to pvp? or is it pve only? Thanks in advance, keep up the good work!
