And in the seventh day Firaxis and Sid got tired...

I want to love this game. Really. Spaceships and planets! Exploring with your fleet and investigate different civilizations! Sounds a cool concept, also the maps looks amazing. I did not expect a really complex 4x game, but rather something with fun rules, easy gameplay but challenging enough.

And possibly, hopefully Starships executes that... but there is no real way to find it as the game full with bugs (and no, not the bugs from Beyond the Earth). It crashes for many people with the current built, so honestly I can't advice to anyone to buy at it's current state. Wait a couple of days to see what will happen.

Civ: Beyond the Earth was somewhat a disappointment and I am sad to say but Starships seems to go to the same route. A could be great and fun game who never fullfils it's promise. Please prove me otherwise Sid.

Rude: I know and you are right about it, partly. But the developpers now have the choice to run their project with alternate founds at least in the beginning - like how Obsidian did it with Eternity, so later they have a better control on the game, also usually you can keep a better contact with the fan base. Come on, who would not kickstart another Pirates or Alpha Centauri or Civ VI if Sid is there?

Remember Civ: Beyond the Earth was very disappointing even Pandora retrospectiviy achieves much more than C: BE. C; BE is inconsistent, lack of flesh, and have serious balance issues. Starship seems to me just like an attempt to facelift that game, hence the bundle - even that the concept is fun.

Just to say something good - the Art is great! I love the loading screens!

@Meep

Developpers are usually not at fault. A lot of time it's the producer that say : "The game is shipped out in 3 month. That the dev finish or not". You should read Daikatana story for exemple. It's really informative. For exemple. 36 Days before launched, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. didn't even have a playable demo. The producer said that they invested enough money into the game and say to the dev to realease it.

There are people trying to defend this on the basis that early bugs are commonplace now. Anyone else think developers should try finishing a game before releasing it occasionally?
