Is it worth to buy this game in 2021?

Yes. But at a discount. And just for the zombies mode.

Guilty Gear is clearly the superior fighting game.

Got extremely bored after a couple of matches. It feels like it's going to be dead less than a year from now. Better spend my 5 euros for a big ice cream cone.

I have 600+ hours in League of Legends total, decided to switch to this game instead.

What makes this game "better" for me is the uniqueness it has in terms of gameplay, game modes and overall experience compared to other MOBAs.

What makes LoL so tedious for me is the amount of time spent to play a couple of games, whether you win or lose, compared to this one: while in SMITE you have your standard 5v5 matches that, yes, will still take the same amount of time as in the other game, you can also choose to play 3v3, 1v1 and even "arena mode" that reduce the time spent playing while still being as fun as the classic 5v5.

The gameplay is not your usual "top down camera" styled MOBA, but a 3rd person where even the auto-attacks have to be aimed. It takes time to master the controls and land every skill-shot, but it's definitely a breath of fresh air compared to the competitors.

If you like either a casual experience or play competitively, I'd say that this MOBA satisfies both needs.

In all seriousness, you should give this game a try: it's fun and addictive and kind of reminds me of games like Risk of Rain, Binding of Isaac and Dead Cells. You can still buy this game on The Humble Store or on Green Man Gaming for dirt cheap (sells for 2,10€ at the making of this comment).
