For a game made by a solo dev, this is a really impressive piece of work. Let's get the bad stuff out of the way: The UI is still pretty rough around the edges, and the English is poor. I'm not a fan of the character design, either, and the story is meh. The author tries too hard to be funny but most of the jokes just fall flat. The UI could use a bit of work, particularly the dialog and inventory system. The dev's personal and political beliefs also seem to seep into some of the lore, at times quite obviously, and there are some ethnic stereotypes in the game that I'm uncomfortable with.

If you can ignore all that, it's probably one of the best open-world time travel simulators out there (not like there are very many). The dev is pretty good at providing regular and substantive updates. The time-travelling mechanic is solid even at this relatively early-mid stage of development.

This game is basically Takeshi's Castle: The Videogame. If you don't know what Takeshi's Castle is, look it up.

It's a fun game to play when you've got a decent crew. Playing the single-player campaign is difficult as you must rely on an AI crew with dubious ability. Completing your first mission solo is a real accomplishment.

This game, like Space Station 13 (which it shares DNA with), has a lot of depth and being able to build your own submarine is a nice touch, though I haven't played around with the editor much.

Weird and quirky game. I wish there were more like this.

This is a very niche game. If you don't care about tornadoes or storm chasing you're not going to get much out of this. If you do, then this game will definitely scratch that itch. The game is still in early access and needs a lot of polish but the core gameplay is solid. The game isn't updated very often, but the dev is engaged with the community and you can tell that this is a passion project. Even though the game does not yet have workshop support, modding is possible and to an extent encouraged by the developer, which opens up the possibilities even more. I look forward to the eventual release of the game - if you're on the fence, wait for a good sale or the final release.

UPDATE: The dev seems to have abandoned this game, which is a shame because it is pretty much the only decent tornado simulator out there (still).

If you're looking for pure joy, this game is the answer. It's basically 3D Happy Wheels, and if that game makes you giggle, Guts and Glory will have you laughing out loud. I'm not sure what this says about me as a human being, but the game is definitely worth the money, especially if you buy it on sale like I did. Yeah, it's a little unpolished, but this is indie gold, and the bugs only make it better.
