Where to even start. I hate the cheesy comparisons to obvious stuff like Minecraft or Eve and all that, but I lack the capacity to describe it any other way. Both this and those other titles share a very similar gameplay loop and progression which drives you ever closer and into more danger as you progress.

You could spend days alone just designing ships, from which you'll just automate and almost never get to see anymore. But thats great, as all the automation allows you to focus on more of what you really like, so you don't have to slog through any tedium to get to what *you* really want to do.

I would like to be able to give this game a positive review, and I do, for the single player. The multiplayer for this game has come and gone as it once was on release. The few people that are left playing online are those brand new, and have yet to quit, and those who have devoted thousands of hours into the game. Many of which are extremely toxic to new players and will actively avoid or discourage new players from even trying to play.

TLDR; Get it for the Campaign or Last Stand, avoid multiplayer and Elite Mod as their communities are both extremely toxic to new players or anyone who doesn't have minimum 1000 hours in the game.
