Binding of Isaac style game. Pretty fun.

Cool progession and class systems, unfortunately feels like a slog with probably the worst enemy design and combat in a survivors game I've seen.

This is the first game I've ever played where the very first thing that comes up when you launch the game is a volume slider. Amazing.

Game is a pretty fun roguelike experience too. There's some sort of microtansaction currency you can buy with real money but I haven't actually encountered any reason to buy it yet? Definitely better than the first game IMO. Runs are much shorter and goals are clearer.

Definitely needs work on the combat balance. Incredibly easy game sitting there wailing on damage sponges that do nothing. Progress on anything gets incredibly slow after a time and the best way to improve you character is to fight the same afk boss over and over because you can get meta progression items (crystals) from him far faster than actually doing a real level, and you can just get hope out of the hope npc. Played like 1/3 of the game and have no desire to go any further, gameplay has not changed or evolved since literally the first level I played.

Also if the devs ever read this: the mageblood robe is bugged (or has a bad tooltip) and only applies the +% effect of the potion. So with +10% you get 10% of your slot 1 potion at all times, instead of 110%.

Other issue aside, I dislike running between locations 10 minutes apart with a stamina bar that runs out in 2 seconds, and a 20lb weight limit. Not to mention damage slowly reducing your max HP and forcing you to go back to town and waste even more time. But don't worry you can p2w a fast travel item

Very good singleplayer RPG.

Writing this as of the early access release, but the game feels VERY unfinished and super easy. Hopefully it improves.

Strategic auto battler roguelike?

At first... kinda. Not really an auto battler as much as it is a parry timing deckbuilder.

And then after you get 1-2 specific cards, that aren't even that rare, it just devolves into a spam clickfest as you cycle your deck as fast as possible, gaining like +50 to your overall damage stats as fast as possible, ignoring what actually is happening in the combat because enemies die instantly. Everything revolves around the same stats with no different characters or interactions, so there's zero replay value. Probably the worst roguelite I have played.

Make a crazy build, and go brrrrr until you get 1shot.

Good to play just to see how good Dark and Darker is in comparison.
