A fantastic game that, through the progression system, sheer replability, and ease of modding, provides a fantastic money-to-game-hours ratio. While the graphics are quite basic and the animations simple, they do their jobs sufficiently - it's arguable that there's even a unique, comfy charm to them. With the game very soon coming out of beta, Slay the Spire will also be hitting the Switch in a couple of months - and I'll be very tempted to double dip.

Love being slapped in the face by a game, then given something really nice, only to be slapped again? Love having your hopes and dreams crushed in a split second? Love having an amazingly powerful character that can still die in one hit no matter what? If you were able to read those questions, you should buy this game. Plus, there's DLC coming out sometime in 2015 that YOU can help make!
