I've played this game in beta (hence the free tag) and out for a rather long time... probably longer than you will and I certainly have to recommend it. It's fun, plain and simple. You choose a character, get a couple companions, kill a bunch of enemies, level up your cards, delete some, replace some, attach some equipment to your character, die, and repeat until you succeed! It's a rogue-like card game. What more can you expect?

One of the best aspects of the game is that it's both a simple and complex rogue-like. It's easy to get into, incredibly easy, in fact, but then you have to carefully manage your cards based on your needs. Pick a mage or cleric? Focus on your mana gains early on. Going rogue? Chain-chain-chain-chain-backstab-death.

You've got to think ahead to know what you need and don't need. Knowing what cards you'll get at different stages helps. Knowing what enemies you'll face in what area helps. Knowing what your character excels at helps. Basically, knowledge is power. Play for an hour or two and you'll start understanding this.

If I was asked what the worst aspect of the game was, I'd have to say... luck, I suppose. Luck can really break you in this game. Whether you were unlucky in your companions, your cards, the people you met, or the enemies you're faced with. It's to be expected in a rogue-like, I think, but still... a bit misfortune can be a real killer.

Overall Score -- I'd give it a 9/10. It was good enough to make me play for nearly 60 hours, after all. That's like... $0.10 per hour of entertainment.

My gosh this game is plagued with bugs. Thus far, I haven't even been able to play a single game for an hour without game-breaking, yes, game-breaking bugs. Sometimes my crew gets permanently stuck when getting off the ship. I can reload and go somewhere else instead, but that's just a waste. Just now, I started making improvements of my ship and lo and behold I get some bug telling me that a point was unreachable. I thought "Okay, I'll just delete that point". Ended up deleting the entire ship and once I put on a single cube, it's unreachable. Ridiculous. And my ship was completely flat before, too! How's that unreachable? -_-. While I wish I could give this game a good review, these bugs make it impossible. Truth is, I like the game... when I can play it.
