A nice, relaxing game to about putting away belongs when moving into new homes. I do feel a bit like a detective at times, seeing kind of how the characters' belongings change over time, what was kept and what was left behind, and how those changes reflect different moments in their lives. The original asking price is a bit high, but the game is definitely worth checking out on a sale.

Simply put, the game is largely carried by the soundtrack/radio. The gameplay isn't terribly interesting, and its compounded by the how slowly the game lets your restart a level which you'll be doing quite a lot if you're interested in doing getting additional unlocks by scoring par or lower on each level. Games that have this kind of unlock usually have a quick restart hotkey/button or a restart level button in a menu that quickly appears when hitting the pause hotkey/button. But not this one. For some reason, the restart level button is in a pause menu that takes way too long to appear for how frequently you'll be restarting a level. The soundtrack/radio is definitely the highlight of this game, and was honestly what kept me playing this game, but at some point, I lost interest in restarting levels in order to score par and lower.

I'm not exactly sure how accurate the driving simulation is, but the game is definitely fun. If you're looking to play a somewhat challenging driving game in bite-size gameplay sessions, this can be worth checking out.

If you have doubts on whether or not Myst is a fun game to play today, given its origins in the early 90's, I'll have to say that after playing this game without really playing the original nor its subsequent iterations, I can now understand why this game was such a powerhouse when it released.

Sure the updated navigation style vs. the original slideshow approach and the beautifully recreated environments in this remastered version of Myst really ups the appeal for a modern audience, but the gameplay style and the unique environments and the way how they meld together are innate characteristics of the game that I feel really stood the test of time. And sure I also had to take notes in order to solve puzzles but they've all been much funner than I expected and only once did I have to look up a guide on how to solve one (turned out that I set my audio too low to figure out what was going on); probably also helped that Steam has a built-in Note function in the Overlay where I could take down notes and paste-in screenshots. And the story and lore too, that turned out much better than I expected, and I'm glad that the game had the ability to swap to the original FMVs for characters so I can experience a part of the original Myst experience in a modern package.

Overall, this game turned out better than I expected and I'm looking forward to the Riven remake as well.

Turns out that pressing a single button at the right beat is way harder than I expected but what a great time it has been so far. The music has been fantastic and the level designs are great, and seeing the two tie into the story has been an unexpected but nice surprise. Looking forward to seeing the game reach its completion.

If you ever went to a coin arcade or fair and wished you were able to dump ridiculous amounts of money so you can play a bunch games but held back in fear of your wallet emptying out, then this is pretty much the game for you. A whole lot of effort went into not only recreating these machines and experience but also a vibe that creates a sense of nostalgia for the 80's/90's. Looking forward to the updates the developer has planned.

Simply put, this was much better than expected. It's possibly one of the most relaxing games that I've played while also being very fun to play. If you're looking for a stress-free exploration game with a light-hearted atmosphere, this is worthy of picking up.

For a walking simulator, this game is pretty gripping (just take a look at the completion rate on the Steam achievements page). A play through lasts about 80 minutes and it's completely sold by the voice acting, and although it does feel like this might work as a short film, I think given the dialogue options that you can choose between and the game's pacing, this story telling works pretty well as a game. While I think you can replay the game to hear other dialogue options for a bit lengthier gameplay, this is on the short side which does make the original price a bit on the high side. If you can find this on a deeper discount, this may be worth having a look if you're looking for an interesting, dialogue heavy game.

A pretty solid fighting game that reminds me of the Batman Arkham series that's combined with some light hearted story telling across four episodes. The fights in the latter two episodes are harder (and at times frustrating) to get through, but from what I understand there have been patches since I've played that rebalanced the combat a bit. It does feel like maybe there should be one more episode, but overall the game was pretty fun.

Wasn't sure how the return to Armored Core franchise after over a decade of absence would turn out, but it looks like From Software really hit this one out of the park. While I haven't really played the PS3 era AC games, I've played almost all of ones from the PS1 and PS2 era, and AC 6 is by far my favorite one. The improved level fidelity and design (noticeably interior fights being less claustrophobic), the heavier emphasis on unique bosses that aren't just ACs, and a well told story, this game is a massive step up from the previous games in those departments.

The heavy customization returns in this game as well, although definitely with some categories and varieties missing, such as arms that double as weapons and shoulder radars (radar map is replaced with a compass and scan mechanic). And it also feels like there are more parts hidden in levels than the AC games that I've played, and now there's also the earning of parts by retrieving combat logs by destroying certain enemies. Although I'm not sure there are quite as many parts as before, for the ones that are in the game, it's still a pretty good collection. One negative that does stand out is that some weapon parts are comparatively overpowered, to the point that they work too well in too many fights, so I'm hoping that From Software takes a pass on rebalancing a number of parts to encourage more variety. Despite this downside, I still had a lot of fun with this game.

And lastly, I can't end this review without saying that the English voice acting is phenomenal, and they really did a good job in portraying all of the characters. Even characters who only have a few lines in the entire game are memorable due to how well the VA sold those characters. For a game that continues to retain the mission structure from previous AC games and without seeing any characters in-game, I feel like this played a key part in selling this type of gameplay and story telling.

To sum it up, this is my favorite AC game, and it's a great introduction to those who aren't familiar with the series. For reference, I also beat this game, including New Game ++ which I recommend completing, on the Steam Deck and overall it ran pretty well (there were crashes but I think those were more due to the game). I give AC 6 one a big thumbs up.

One thing I'll note about the Deluxe Edition is that I wish the soundtrack was a separate Steam Soundtrack instead a DLC, because currently I have to download the entire game just to get access to the soundtrack.

Update: Updates since my review have rebalanced almost all parts so pretty cool to see more parts becoming more viable.
