Non-stop fun and action - Goofy characters and costume pieces - spot on. It is like Left 4 Dead on steroids but much better, with its class system aka Perks. Well done system, well though out enemies. Great thing is that it has plenty of variety of bosses to combat.

Having thousands of hours played into this game, STO has been a bitter sweet experience. STO was a good game with promise & it had potential. This is a story of LOST potential - Updated review as of 1/27/20. The game has changed, and mostly for the worst. It is essentially dying and is on life support by dedicated hardcore Trek players. The state of the game feels like if it is still in Beta since 2010. A huge NO NO for games, is the removal of content - And that is what happened to STO. Tons of content removed for the sake of streamlining and were never replaced. In regards to content, there has been little to no content, as they introduce one episode, maybe two, every 6 or so months. The Zen store prices and even some lobi store prices has dramatically increased. They now introduced the MUDD store - with insane prices and then calling a sale - If something constantly on sale, is it truly on sale? Price increase, ever dwindling population, staff restructuring, no content, selling points are ships - yeah, spells doom. How long the game will last, only the hardcore gamers can tell. I also know that the whales have dwindle, causing inflation in the ingame community market. So if you are a huge Trek fanatic, go ahead give it a shot - but for everyone else - stay away.
