Great atmosphere and graphics, but I felt the game would benefit from a better system of moving around (maybe WSAD) or just to constantly have the arrows showing as to where you can go on the screen.

The same for the modern day 'pixel hunting' only it's made worse by having to spin the whole camera to find things, which made me dizzy if I'm honest.

The same with when trying to 'use' an item, usually in modern day adventure games, potential things to use it on are highlighted, otherwise it can become a bit of a guessing game.

If those things were addressed (maybe have the hotspots permanently highlighted, or at least offer that as an option), then this would be a very good game.

A hint system would definitely help too.

With these improvements, there's a lot of promise in this game and it's sequel, and for some this may be ok, which is why it's only 'just' a recommendation from me.

If you like point and click games (and I love them), you will certainly enjoy the atmosphere and environment etc... but the above issues may frustrate.

I wasn't able to play it for long (although I wanted to) as I got stuck and did become quite dizzy trying to search for things.

An excellent, slow build horror. It's not so much a game, as there aren't really any puzzles as such, but if you appreciate games that slowly build to create a story, then you should try this, especially as it's free. It takes about 90 minutes to finish if you take your time and listen to everything, so it's a bit like watching a film. Well done to all involved making this game, I hope they make more.

The best 'game' I've ever played.

Even though it originally came out in 2006, Flight Simulation X still holds up as a truly amazing simulator. The Steam Edition has made improvements to the performance.

The base simulator covers the entire globe, has flying lessons built in and also many missions to complete.

A word of warning though, if you end up getting into flight simulation, it may end up costing you a lot more as there are some amazing addons to pick up.

I'm a photoscenery fan, as I like to know that what I'm flying over is an exact replica of what I would see if I was really flying. Plus it can be used to navigate accurately.

If you're new to flight simulation, here are my recommendations, bearing in mind I'm a GA flyer:

Firstly, buy the book FSX for Pilots- Real World Training. It is the perfect way to learn how to fly using the simulator.

Essential Addons:

General:
REX
FS Global (preferably ultimate editions)
Natural Tree Environment X - not essential but I like it.
Accu-Feel - Makes the default planes feel more realistic.

If you're not into photoscenery:
FTX Global
FTX Vector

If you prefer photoscenery, then it might not be worth getting the two FTX products, as your photo scenery will overwrite them

UK Photoscenery:
VFR Generation X v3
Revolution X ( a criticism levelled at photoscenery, is that they can appear flat, however this adds loads of autogen andis fantastic).
UK2000 UK airports

These titles are amazing. So realistic.

USA Photoscenery
Megascenery Earth
TreeLines (like Revolution X, but only includes trees. Works well though)
Night Environment for each state where available.

Airplanes:
The default ones are ok, but there are better ones out there. For GA flying I love the A2A Piper.

Traffic:
Ultimate Traffic 2 is a good one. Makes things a lot more interesting with other planes flying around.

Finally, I recommend a decent PC to run it on, and a decent yoke and rudder pedals. I use the Saitek products.

You might want to try a few tweaks too. I recommend Frooglesims youtube video called 'VLOG: How to get better FSX performance' and the tweaks referenced in the Megascenery manual. Matt Smith is also a good user to watch youtube videos on.

As I said, beware, because if you do get hooked, you may end up spending a lot (of time and money) on the hobby. Time and money very well spent though.

I'm a big fan of point and click adventure games, and have enjoyed playing through this one. The story is interesting, and focuses on the Tunguska incident. I won't give anything away about the story.

The production values are high, professional voice acting, good graphics and an excellent adventure game interface.

The script is good with plenty of characters to interact with. There are also many varied locations, which helps maintain interest. There is also a handy 'diary' feature, to refresh your memory as to what has happened if you take breaks between playing the game.

The puzzles are decent enough. There are a few nonsensical ones, particularly near the end, but you usually get some of these with adventure games. There are only one or two like this, but they do stop it from being a 'great' adventure game. I recommend using the excellent Universal Hint System on the internet, as provide a few nudges if you need them, without giving too much away.

All in all, well worth playing if you like adventure games.
