I am a big fan of swimming and underwater vistas, so this game was perfect for me on a base level. The visuals and music are the big draw here, as the game is linear, short, and doesn't have too many extra secrets to discover outside the main narrative. It's definitely for people who love water creatures, forgiving (easy) game play, gorgeous art design, and are curious to simply explore game environments for the sake of exploring.

I wish it had more little secrets to discover (I found most of them on my first playthough as I do like to take things slow and explore - even so I got through the game in 2.5 hours) to make multiple play throughs more rewarding, though the visuals alone are the real reward.

Controls wise, I found it smooth but slow. I used an Xbox controller. The swimming alone is fine, and looks great, but the boost system is clunky, it especially made it hard to time doing high jumps above the water. I know it is encouraging you to take it slow most of the time, which is fine, but I like swimming fast when I want to too, cause it's fun. As someone who could do this for hours in Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the future, it just made me yearn for a more forgiving swim system here. Having to do three timed presses for a quick speed boost which only lasts a few moments, then I need to repeat. Ug. I saw it says online you should be able to hold down the button to keep the golden boost going but mine doesn't. :T I have tried everything. I wish you could assign controls yourself too (pick what button does what).

These minor complaints aside I do really recommend this game if you like the things I mentioned above. It's gorgeous visuals and music are a great experience!

I'm a gamer girl who has never really 'got' First Person Shooters, but I LOVE TF2. The unique, stylish characters, amazing voice acting, and varied gameplay with the classes, and playing online with friends, really makes it more than just pointing and shooting guns. Not to mention it's FREE now, what are you waiting for?! Jump in and have fun!
