A physics based puzzler with a non-deterministic physics engine is a recipe for frustration.

Early Access Review
Another great "Zachlike" game from Zachtronics - creative problem solving. Like SpaceChem but more friendly to someone new to the genre.

Really not that good of a puzzle game. First of all, they're circles - not spheres.
Puzzles are mostly a matter of timing. You place circles on a track and they move around the track and must not collide with other circles doing the same thing. The trouble is, on many levels the tracks are of different lengths, and the lengths are not multiples or fractions of each other so unless you are quick to complete the level, two circles on different tracks will eventually go out of phase enough that they will inevitably collide.

So there is a bit of planning to a difficult level but it isn't all that satisfying. Hey, it's still better than SNIK though!

Just terrible. Minimalistic visuals are fine when the gameplay is interesting but there's none of that here. Gets boring almost instantly. Getting 3 stars on anything but the first level is not worth the effort. No sound effects present, and the music stops completely once the song ends (but maybe that's a good thing).

A couple criticial issues bring this game down. It requires quick reflexes on clicks at control points to prevent trains from crashing but not every mouse click registers in-game (maybe around 80-90% of clicks register). When you have the game sped up (needed for 3 stars on a level) a misclick or not-registered click will usually cause immediate failure for the level. At least the restarts are fast.

The pattern and length of trains that come in each time are somewhat random and sometimes a solution is not possible, as to prevent two trains colliding you must get one to hold at a control point while another comes and rear-ends it. This forces the player to restart the level through no fault of their own, wasting their time.

A frustrating experience due to these issues. Not recommended.

After 45 minutes walking along a mostly uninteresting path, I tried to walk up a path between some rocks, passing by a tree and I tried to jump when I hit what seemed to be an invisible wall. Then I got stuck. I saved and reloaded the game, but still stuck in the same spot. I quit the game and go to the discussions area to investigate the problem and see the only solution is to load the last checkpoint before exiting the game.

So, game-breaking bug spoiled it entirely for me as that gamesave is now useless.

Along the way, the narration was decent and the sounds of the weather pleasant. I liked the sounds of the thunder in particular. Graphically the path was a tree appreciation journey.

Along the walk, I never found a single item to interact with. Without any in-game tutorial, I looked up the controls to see there was indeed an interact button though.

With the game-breaking bug present I cannot recommend the game at this time.
