Cats :3

I really enjoyed playing. I've played through several times and there's always one cat that manages to evade.

I love the art style and simplicity, a very relaxing experience.

To developer - Make more Hidden Cats games!

Has absolutely nothing to do with Chess. It's more akin to the flash game Age of War, where you select your soldiers to battle your opponents' soldiers and level them up etc. The game has almost no options apart from muting the sound, and I could not resize the window or make it fullscreen. There are no instructions or tutorials. Overall there is not much substance to this game which was made with Unity.

Chess Ultra has the perfect balance of having enough features to provide an easy to set up and enjoyable experience, but at the same time not too many features that it seems convoluted.

I have been enjoying playing against the computer, which has multiple levels of difficulty as to be expected, although I would say the ratings that the AI opponents have are not the most accurate. One is rated around 1400 and makes newbie errors and misses obvious advantageous moves, but nevertheless it's lots of fun to play a competitive and long-thought out game, or a fast paced and heart-pounding blitz game with seconds to spare.

An absolute deal-breaker for myself and the reason my friend and I have the game is the multiplayer. If there was none, that would be a stone cold "no thanks" from us. After playing dozens of games over a long period, we've found the multiplayer to be very reliable (I can't recall any major glitches). Multiplayer in Chess Ultra is very enjoyable from our experience - There's nothing quite like settling down in Woodburn Manor (one of the game's environments) and enjoying the atmosphere with an alcoholic beverage and some good old fashioned banter. It's a weekly ritual for us and has been a gem for our socialising, especially with the restrictions we've been experiencing.

Another welcomed feature is the ability to save up to 6 of your most recent game and revisit them, with an option to copy the entire game in a proper .PGN (Portable Game Notation) format, so you can send the game to others to see, or input them into chess.com or similar site and analyse the position and improve your game. This to me is a fantastic feature and I absolutely love it.

Chess Ultra is one of my favourite games. It's atmosphere, features, ease of use, privacy, steam integration, graphics and variety in visual options and game modes makes it a special and enjoyable experience, and for my money - the best chess game on steam.

Very accessible learning tool for employing mating patterns. Quite handy for brushing up on some moves in preparation for an upcoming game, and with the price, it's definitely worth it. Combinations lessons is equally worth it.

Very accessible learning tool for employing combinations, usually around mid-game. Quite handy for brushing up on some moves in preparation for an upcoming game, and with the price, it's definitely worth it. Checkmate patterns is equally worth it.

Fairly simple Solitaire. Seems to be stable. I can't complain at all, as I enjoy solitaire.

Beautiful visuals and simplistic easy to use interface. Great puzzles for sharpening your skills in identifying mate threats and patterns, 300 different puzzles to keep your brain ticking over, great value for the price.

Minimol Games should really make a full playable chess game!

Simple and lightweight chess program. Uses Stockfish as the engine. Quite active online play. Lots of fun to play with friends on steam with voice communication.

It's simply chess.
