Edit: I want to like this game, and everything I said is still accurate. But the server lag just seems to be getting worse and worse, and the hitreg is just awful. Crashes, too, and disconnects. And despite wiping my character, I still do not have the Tactical Edition upgrade items I paid for, nor am I receiving ANY task rewards in my messages. It's pretty heartbreaking.

The gunplay is fine, animations are pretty solid, player customization is good, unfortunately no female model, but that's a non-issue to me, for others it may be. For some reason you can't rebind the push-to-talk button yet, so that's annoying; it's 'Z' by default. There also isn't any toggle options for ADS/Lean/Sprint. No controller support, and I don't think it's planned atm. The Task system is practically identical to Tarkov's, and some of the tasks themselves are similar to Tarkov, so, they're rather drab. It's not a problem to me, I'm not expecting crazy unique tasks, but I thought it was worth mentioning, and better ones will probably come with time.

>Collect this thing.
>Mark this thing.
>Find this body and mark it.
>Kill [amount] NPCs.

The game feels more like an Arma mod of Tarkov, to me. I personally love it, it feels pretty good to play to me.

I haven't yet got to experience any PvP, I imagine it's probably pretty rare right now unless you seek it out. So don't go into this expecting crazy PvP, this definitely feels more PvE focused -- at least early on! I'm only 10 tasks in, atm, so I don't really need to venture from the town closest to HQ.

It's possibly worth noting that the people I had run into were all very friendly and were just chatting and helping each other figure out the game and complete tasks. I can't speak for how long it'll be pleasant, you know how it goes.

Although the game is quite demanding on hardware, Know that, please. It runs fine on my i7 13700k, RTX 4070Ti, 64gb of DDR5 6200mhz. Check the requirements before you buy, there's a lot of people buying the game while running older hardware, it won't end well.

Server lag is the biggest issue at the moment. I haven't received my Tactical Edition items or any task rewards, either.
(Yes, I checked my messages, I have none. It's a bug. Waiting for a fix.)

Running fine on an i7-13700k and 4070 Ti with 64gb RAM at 6000Mhz.

Game is gorgeous and the character creator is wonderful.

Don't care about the microtransactions, not a deal breaker for me.

This game is actually so mid compared to their other titles it's quite depressing.

It was... brutal, and terrifying. And one of the funniest things ever.

Very good software. Also free on their website, but I wanted to support them and also prefer keeping all my stuff organized together, so why not get it on Steam. Tracking hours I've been drawing is a fun bonus, too.

Most negative reviews are people who are raging about the servers being a tad unstable despite it being a beta, which never goes without hiccup. Also lots of scuffed computers/settings in reviews.

Take them all with a grain of salt.

Aside from the whining people, the game is amazingly fun.
If you like Vermintide you'll like this.

The gameplay is preem, the weapons are all satisfying in the own respects.

The gore makes it much more satisfying, as well.

The classes are fun, (Sharpshooter is a little bland imo though.)

The graphics are gorgeous, especially if you like gritty dark atmospheres.

The soundtrack is simply amazing, extremely well done.

Overall I see myself putting hundreds of hours into the game, especially once-
private lobbies get added.
