It may seem sketchy, but it actually is a legitimate game. And a fun one at that. Highly recommend.

Good game. What the game lacks in polish, it makes up for in its gameplay loop. You can actually see the planet make significant changes while you play, making progress extremely rewarding.

Though while I don't mind the lack of polish too much, they absolutely NEED to add more music. It's the same 3 tracks repeated over and over again, and it starts to get grating after an hour.

1.0 update edit: They polished the game, and they added more music. No more complaints now.
Definitely consider getting this.

Great game. Each of the characters play great, the level variety is surprisingly fantastic, game loves to throw new and interesting mechanics at you. You'll definitely get a bang for your buck.

Only downside is the music. It's pretty forgetable, a couple stand out tracks. A shame since the first games OST was an absolute banger.

Recommend.

The gameplay itself is fun. Everything else about it isn't. Can't justify buying it for $20, let alone $40.

When I bought this game, I thought it looked really cheap, but I was willing to give it a shot because, hey, Paper Mario. What I got was something that 100% lives up to the games it's based on. Mechanics aside, what I appreciate most is the world building, something that the PM games just threw out the window after Super. Not only are the places interesting, but they put actual effort into making the world feel alive. They even have NPCs with unique designs! And while some people might be off put by you only having 3 playable characters, they definitely get their mileage out of those characters, having them always have something to say about the world and story going on, and having great character chemistry.

On the gameplay side, it's definitely harder than the Paper Mario games, even if you aren't using the hard mode modifiers. There's a surprising amount of tactical depth to be had here, and you will be putting serious thought into your team builds. Makes for a difficult yet enjoyable game, still something I would probably give to my 8 year old cousin for his first RPG.

To get the most out of this game, I strongly recommend going after the optional content. The various side quests range from simple retrieve the item quests to full on bonus bosses, many of which are much harder than what can be found in the main story. Even with the simpler side quests, you still get the aforementioned world building, so they're worth doing.

Overall, 9.5/10. Would recommend to others.

Have you ever wanted to go on a space adventure with your friends? Does the idea of yelling over coms while you and your crew desperately try to survive entice you? Do you just want a good game to socialize in? If so, this is the game for you.

You and your crew take on the galaxy in an attempt to get rich, pimp out your ship, and slaughter everything in your path. You will find yourself engaging in space battles, exploring planets, and completing missions in order to amass lots and lots of cash. Your travels will take you to many places, like desolate planets, abandoned ships, and the public toilets in a trade hub. This trek across the galaxy can be done by either friends or strangers you meet on the internet. The game is good as a social game since it requires you to actually communicate if you want any chance of getting anywhere in the game.

Theres currently enough content in the game to give you a few 8-10 hour adventures. Each instance of a game generates a randomly laid out galaxy that is different from the ones you played before and the ones you will play in the future. Devs are pretty good about updating the game.

Overall, definitely get. Great fun.

As someone who was turned off by playing the original Shadow Warrior, this completely took me by surprise. One of the few instances where a reboot is better than the original, both in gameplay, level design, writing, and voice acting.

You play as Wang, a cocky, loudmouth mercenary hired by Orochizilla, a multibillionair that owns everything. He's tasked with buying an ancient sword that is said to be able to vanquish demons. However, the deal goes sour when the seller refuses to sell to him, and gets even worse when the demons start invading and steal the sword. With the help of a ancient spirit that will go unnamed in this review, Wang must recover the sword and save the world.

Writing in this game consist of well written casual racism that can be easily looked over because it's hilarious. Wang always has something funny to say, and your spiritual companion offers witty dialouge to clash with Wang.

Gameplay is some of the best I've encountered in a fps in recent years. Along with your guns, you have supernatual powers thanks to your spiritual companion. You have multiple ways to combo your enemies, said enemies are different and offer interesting challenges, and you have to look for and conserve supplies to upgrade your weapons and take on the bigger baddies. One thing I like about this game is that it had actual boss fights, something you don't normally see in FPS games. I'm a sucker for good boss fights, so that's a plus.

Preformance is also a huge plus. On my budget hardware pc, I was able to get a constant 60 fps on high settings. Props to the programmers.

Overall, I recommend this game if you want to have a good time. I got this game for $5, but I feel like I should have paid $15. Get this game if you can.

This is a Call of duty game. If you played one Call of Duty, you played them all. So why buy this one over others?

Nazi Zombies and the campaign. If you're buying this at the sale price of $10, you get access to a rich variety of moddified zombie maps. Many of these are on par in quality with official Treyarch maps. A good buy if you're interested in that.

Other thing is the campaign. It's decent for a single playthrough or if you want to do co-op. Multiplayer I wouldn't recommend because all you're find are these stupid hardcore servers that require you to go crouch all the time. They're good for griefing.

I'm in an abusive relationship with this game. It keeps beating me up, I come back to it. And enjoy every minute.

Just saying that this game is going to kick your ass over and over again, and that's ok.

Before you decide to try out this game, you need to ask yourself a very important question. Where do you draw the line?

For me, I drew the line at adding a paid "feature" during what is suppose to be 10 days of free content that dramatically affects the future of the game. I sunk hundreds of hours into this game, I have most of the dlc, I was willing to recommend this game to friends and family. And yeah, Overkill has done some very questionable things in the past, but I chose to ignore it.

But October 15, 2015 is when I found out that they don't care. They truely don't. They chose to implement a system that get them more money from the 100 suckers that buy into it in some desperate attempt to get rich, and in doing so killed off any good will their long time fans had for them. Nobody asked for it, nobody was happy for it, and the only reason the game has players now is because as of now the game is free for the week. As soon as that ends, those players go bye bye.

Now, you may be thinking "But you don't have to buy the keys for their obvious attempt to copy Valve's crate system". Well guess what: The reason it works for TF2 and CSGO is because there are minimal purchases you have to make, with Tf2 being free and CSGO having a one time purchase. With Payday 2, not only do you have to buy the base game, there's more than $100 worth of DLC, with a new one being released every month or so. To add this one top of the already pricy game comes off as greedy and selfish, as do the money grubbing schmuks that try to get rich off of this.

I am beyond disappointed with Overkill. They took advantage of any good will the community had to them and shattered it into peices. To think that they actually had a convention during PAX Prime this year. It's hard to imagine actually having "fans" attend next year should they have one. It's a dying shame, too. They had a really good game going. I would sink at least 5 hours a week into it. This ensures I don't have put in one for the next few months, or even the next years. Maybe forever, I don't know.

GG Overkill. GG.
