Activision/Infinity Ward have given up on traditional 6v6 multiplayer. The blatant disrespect from the developers to the MP community has left a sour taste in my mouth.

There are few traditional 6v6 maps, those that do exist are poor quality and there's nothing good in the pipeline in future updates. The few current/upcoming maps that are good are just recycled content from previous games.

Yesterday it was leaked that there's going to be a new game coming out in November, further reducing the attention/content that this game will get after the publisher charged an extortionate purchase price at launch.

15 years since the last AoE game is far too long and I'm super excited to see a revival of the series. The price is a little steep considering some of the criticisms but I'm buying it to show my support for this genre.

My initial thought: this game is fun. The game feels very much alive vs the previous entries in the series. Hearing the war cry of your army and the sound of their charge into battle gives the game such a real and immersive feel.

Coming mostly from AoE 3, so far I'm enjoying the blend of that plus AoE 2 to create a game that's comfortable for both communities. This is a familiar formula that will feel natural if you've played the last games.

This plays well, has good graphics, has polish in the areas where it counts and delivers a solid RTS experience.

Considering the price I'm a little disappointed at the civ and map variety in this game. Civs seem to a little simple and each quite similar, not a great deal differentiating them. To see "coming soon" for some designed maps (vs the included generated ones) is cheeky at a £50 game.

GTA Online is a complete cesspit of modders. Rockstar has allowed them to run unchecked since the game was launched. After an entire decade, the game is as broken as ever.
