Big fan of the original Gothic 1 & 2. As you know, combat wasn't a strong part of these games and the reason is that instead of improving on best in class combat they tried to invent something of their own. I think you're falling into the same trap with the combat in this demo, combat is simply unintuitive, slow and unsatisfying even when winning, and I would suggest to scrap the current combat and just implement something like Dark Souls/Sekiro/Starwars survivor etc - the combat that works for a wide user base while still remaining fast-paced and challenging.
I think from the product perspective, the main goal should be re-creating the feeling of the Gothic world and exploration, and avoid the risk of screwing combat (again).
I won't buy the game if the combat in the final game will have the same direction.

Graphics is outdated, but I guess it's your budget limitation, but if you can spare some resources on improvements - rework character heads.
Cut-scenes are low-quality, slow and annoying, better to cut them, and spend time on polishing animations.

I'm choosing the "Like" knowing that it's a demo and hoping that 1.0 will address the issues.

Warlock as a Civ + magic is better.

Graphics looks good, gameplay is fun, small puzzles are easy to solve. Though, visual variety on locations isn't rich enough for me.
