I've tried to like this game but the campaign isn't balanced. I loved the original. But a lot of systems are FLAWED in this game. ALL kingdom msg's where your being asked for something are broken. They sometimes appear sometimes dont, sometimes never.
THE BIGGEST INFRACTION :
Also missions where you need a certain resource but you can't make it. Where you have to trade for it. There is a trade CAP. not to mention there is some hidden feature where they hide the city that HAS the resource you need but you can't start trading with them.
Missions that could be done in 30 minutes or less are left on 5x speed just so you can get the materials.... infuriating.
Also the unemployment mechanic is terrible. Ruins the game, you get a message for 1% unemployment then you get a message for 1% overemployment. (Too many jobs not enough people, our city can not function)

Overall its just thrown together with QOL options. But the CORE gameplay mechanics are broken. They dont work together. Different systems working at different speeds. ANNOYING

TLDR; Play Necro = FUN, Anything else = NOT FUN
So i played this game, the learn curve is really high at start, but it dips and drops as you learn to play. Thats with warrior, once you unlock Rogue the game becomes terrible, Rogue is the worst character to play with. You will think the game is impossible again, then you unlock the Necro, and the game becomes normal, makes sense, and it becomes highly progressable. GOOD JOB NECRO.

This game is terrible, all the secondary abilities are impossible to get, not too hard, impossible, its not made for normal people, this is made for people that like to glitch around a game and abuse bugs. Almost every enemy can 1 or 2 tap you. If you meet a fire enemy it is an INSTANT DEATH. NO RECOVERY. IT SUCKS. THIS GAME IS NOT FUN! ITS NOT FUN!

Hahaha well enough with the funnies. This is a cool indie title from a group of car wash enthusiasts. Never would i have imagined that a polisher could come this far. hahahah

Ok for real now. I played this game and enjoyed the art, playstyle, lighting, camera, level design, and the puzzle presented to the audiance. The story was cerebral in its presentation. Nice not having something ham fisted down your throat. It's a great title from an indie team as their first shoot into the video game industry. Love to see what they come up with next.

First game i've ever reviewed and only because this game is so brokenly terrible. I do not recommend anyone to waste their time on this broken game.

The combat is terrible, there is hard lock in the game and only a soft lock onto targets that has nothing to do with you. Since you can't choose whom you lock onto the camera doesn't either so if the enemy moves out of range you have to try and track them, because you wont be locked onto them anymore when they are outside of view rendering you "out of combat". Enemies have 0 intellitence and just atk all the time, at an uninteruptible speed. Enemies CANT be interrupted but they can interrupt you. Your secondary attacks are completly random and miss 90% of the time rendering them useless. Your main attack is weak, doesn't connect a majority of the time and is disregarded by the computer.

0/10 The game is unplayable.

This game is fun to play in co-op. Just run around and ruin the game for everyone, it'll be fun. Although it does require some intense co-op. This game would be a lot funner with immortal mode on. But you know what!!!! Thats why there's always mods out there for!!!
