...until the SNOY nation attacked.

SNOY had a Goose laying golden eggs, but they decided to butcher it in an attempt to gain more immediate profit, as the quarterly report drew ever closer, and they REALLY wanted those PSN numbers and user data...
As I'm typing this, Steam has now restricted purchasing of the game in more than 100 countries that can't create PSN accounts, and have started giving back refunds to players even if they have a ton of hours spent in the game (as they rightfully should).

Going from modern gaming to HD2 was like knowing nothing but abusive relationships, and then being utterly confused as you find someone who actually appreciate and respect you. HD2 felt like a love letter to the games of old, where you just had fun playing with your mates, without corporate greed throwing in-game purchasing menus at you every chance they get, seeing you as nothing but a cash cow to wring dry.

HD2 was supposed to be the chosen one. It was supposed to bring balance to the gaming force. Not leave it in darkness.

I love this game dearly, but with corporate greed clutching its filthy claws around it, I cannot in good faith leave a positive review. Not while I have fellow Helldivers around the world being denied access to a game that they have purchased, played, and have hundreds of hours in. Not while some countries require a legal ID or facial scan to create a PSN account. Not while the premise of the game, albeit satirical, is to stand united against an overwhelming force in the name of Democracy, Liberty, and Freedom.


EU laws will royally ♥♥♥♥ SNOY in the ass, and I'll be there with the champagne and fireworks when it happens.
