I bought this game on a whim after seeing that it was a somewhat intense survival game.

What I did not expect was a compelling narrative with tension, drama, and a deeply emotional payoff.

I cannot recommend this game enough if you enjoy survival games, as the gameplay is very fun and rewarding.

I honestly don't know even where to begin with this game, and I think that is often what can overwhelm people.

However, if you can get past the clunky first hour or two of learning the exploration/crafting/mechanics, this is easily the most rewarding game I have ever played.

Nothing feels as earned as slaying a monster you've been struggling on, or fully learning the combo of a weapon you previously never could get the feel of.

On top of all of that, Capcom sets the gold standard for post launch support, frequently releasing free update after free update, adding monsters, high texture packs, and patching every bug I ever encountered.

I cannot possibly state how much I love this game, and if you are looking for something fun and interesting and then you realize you are no longer playing any other video games, sorry not sorry.
