Yeah, so this is good. Like, really, really good. Yesterday, I died of a heatstroke in a freakin’ kiddie sandbox of all places, and the simple fact that I did gave me pause. What a bizarre way to perish. I don’t think I could achieve this feat in many other games.

So, I got this on sale, and this was one of the best investments I've done via Steam. My group of friends and I immediately fell in love with this gem of a game. I sank in twenty hours in the first three days upon getting this, I ♥♥♥♥ you not. Rare are the games that make me love struck on first play, but this one managed. It's such a joyous moment to experience that weird "oh crap, this one'll be good" moment.

Grounded takes an amazing twist on the whole survival genre. Normally, these kinds of games have gotten me a bit jaded, but Grounded does it a clever way, and dayum, it feels so fresh. The fact that your playable character has been shrunken to the size of a flea turns resource gathering in over its head. What seems obvious in other games (chop trees, mine rocks, pick berries, explore nearby caves) suddenly becomes a lot more esoteric in Grounded - yet it still always makes sense. I will forever remember my first time playing, chuckling at the idea that freaking blades of grass now acted as your core building material. How utterly silly. How utterly original.

The map is thrilling to explore. The base building is simple yet intricate. Grinding for crafting never feels like a chore. Journeying to collect resources is always fun. Stumbling upon new "biomes" make for some scary new challenges. Combat is fair and well thought-out.

The game just lets you be creative. There are normal “paths” to explore new portions of the map, but you can always bypass them by just bridging and building towers over to them. You won’t be prevented from cheating your way into cool new territories just because you got a little bit clever. Man, how awesome is that?

Anyway. ♥♥♥♥’s fun. I know for a fact that this is a game I’ll definitely cross the 100 hours threshold.

After 6 months of hiatus, I launched that game once again. Why I ever took a hiatus in the first place is beyond me. And the fact that I haven't recommended this yet is borderline heresy.

You should like, play this. Saying that this is a pretty game is the euphemism of the century.

The recent review bombing piqued my interest; and made me realise that I never gave this simulator a proper thumbs up, as I slowly but surely make my way to 2k hours with this very useful tool!

I know very little about the drama du jour surrounding Tabletop Simulator, but what I can weigh on is how mega cool it is to be able to share my love of board games with my internet pals! From what I am understanding, a moderator made an uncalled for comment - an unfortunate development for sure - yet not sufficient enough to dismiss my thousands of hours sank into this product thus far.

I jumped into this, not expecting anything.

I was utterly confused. And so will you, after you fail your 4th first round qualification, pretending that this game is still "in" and that you're still missing something out of this very well selling game. "Maybe it's just me", "Maybe I'm missing the whole point of this", you'll lie to yourself repeatedly, before you go to bed disgruntled.
