i hate it

its freakin cool, needs a lot of work and fleshing out (and optimization obviously) but the systems that are functional so far are impressive and innovative and fun to engage with. Deffo worth my money

As soon as i first launched the game I got sucked in and it devoured my mind. I played 36 hours over a 60 hour period. I'm beginning to suspect the game itself is an occult artifact. That said, it's beautiful and intriguing and so exciting/rewarding to make progress in. The music is good and does not feel repetitive. The UI is sufficient, though definitely lacking in a few areas - but it doesn't prevent you from experiencing the mechanics as they were intended. My personal complaint is the length of the games - as of writing this 36 hours in, I've failed six or seven times and after 7 hours suspect I am about halfway toward completing my current run. It's a really cool game but if you're vulnerable to the "just another turn" mentality of games like Civilization then this game will probably do some minor psychic or physical damage as you refuse to rest your mind or skip meals. But as I played I embraced these costs, and submerged my mind in the madness (and the ludicrously tangled and myriad lore), and I don't regret it.

You can expect to be confused, at the very least, if you play this game. The mechanics seem more arcane and complex than even Death Stranding, although because that is a 3D trekking game (and because DS is very well-paced) perhaps it's just that its complexity meshed more seamlessly in my head because there's much more visual feedback and the controls are more diverse.

You could also refer to the wiki - I did this at a scant few moments, and probably your experience would be easier (if less intriguing) if you did so.
