The real Assassin's Creed: Japan

Game bad again.

Its a fun game but I can't recommend it right now and not just because of the server issue.

Here's a couple things that were promised in 1.0:

- Finished campaign
- Steam achievements

Here's what we got in 1.0:

- The campaign is still unfinished
- No steam achievements
- Server instability (still can't play on day 2)
- They broke the ability to rebind force move to other things, a feature that has worked for many months. Why is it broken? Because they focused on adding controller support instead of WASD (its also broken on controller)

The game has potential and the devs are very transparent but they are not showing themselves to be any better than any other company that gives out empty promises.

I cant believe that there's a city builder / resource management game that came out in 2023 that isn't either completely broken or in early access or both.

... And its actually fun.

My game crashed during the final prologue mission of the main game and now I have to download the DLC update to keep playing.

I enjoyed it for a while but the main story is extremely amateur and killed my desire to play further. NG+ is a joke considering how hyped Todd tried to make it.

There are main story quest objectives that are procedurally generated. I just can't get over how lazy that seems.

This game feels like Capcom saw what Blizzard did to Overwatch 2 and laughed deeply, then proceeded to take all the monetization systems from Overwatch 1 and 2, make them palatable, and slap some great fast and fluid combat systems on top. The $60 price tag plus a battle pass is a bit much but I am not joking about it having the monetization from both games.

Overwatch 1: box price, loot boxes you earn in game via leveling, in game currency you can use to buy cosmetics

Overwatch 2: free (on gamepass for Exoprimal), battle pass with premium tier (including early access to characters)

Exoprimal also has real money only cosmetics but they seem to represent less than 1/4 of all cosmetic items in the game. As far as I have seen they all also have color swapped alternatives that you can earn in game.

On top of that it has the PvE content that Overwatch 2 cut including class specific progression and gameplay customization with interchangeable mods per class.

So what do you end up with when you put together Overwatch 1 and Overwatch 2?

The trailers are hiding what is an absolutely abysmal level of polish. This game looks and plays like a PS2 game and it doesn't even work properly. Within the first 10 minutes I encountered a game breaking bug. This is one of those survival/building games that has a very undeserved high rating on steam because the community has no perspective in relation to other games' quality (if you follow the survival/building/city management genres you know what I am talking about). Avoid.

Need more games like this. So simple but so satisfying and keeps you sweating.

Anyone complaining about control issues are just bad at games. Its not mario but it works as it's designed.

Really want to play but its got so many bugs that its not advisable at the moment. Sad that the developers released it in this state. Don't let developers take your money and then give you a broken product like all the fervent cult members in the community want you to.
