Good Game, bad f2p model.

I get the idea, but the presentation and taste it gives makes it hard to recommend as a f2p.

Imo make f2p restrictions less:
- Allow green items in non high roller
- Add an additional character slot.

Add more cosmetic options for players to spend $ on.

Amazing indie game.

Needs more polish, and would like to see tricks expanded upon more. Maybe add some more urban themed maps.
But otherwise the gameplay is satisfying, UI is meh but the game nails the longboarding aspect.

As of 2/22/23

The game is finally what I would consider "fully playable" after a botched release. Still far from perfect, or even noticeably better than Vermintide 2. I find myself still questioning a lot of Darktides design choices, while being impressed by other parts.

They have the foundation at least semi in place now. If they can keep that momentum moving forward we'll have to see.

Worthy of picking up on any sale.

Great gameplay, but not currently a solid step forward compared to Vermintide 2.

Prioritizing micro transactions before basic features.

Would recommend for people who are interested, but the game gets in it's own way.

Its pretty good for retro projects. Limited in scope compare to other engines, but still being heavily updated.
As of Aug 2022, the dev has announced multiplayer functionality to be in the works.
