This is the best day 1 early access launch I've ever seen. Filing all those reports really uh, worked up my appetite.

MyRise™ has it's own OC waiting for you! All dialogue is fully voiced with a voice you didn't choose, and a personality you don't want. You at the very least get to choose your appearance and moveset, but also spend roughly half of your gameplay being subjected to lengthy pointless dialogue and cutscenes to give you the illusion there's some sort of story going on (Not your story, obviously, the story of their own bland protagonist).

There's ZERO sense of accomplishment. Your progression is measured through a story, hitting predetermined beats (with some side quests here and there). Also you don't start from the bottom, you're already main eventing RAW/Smackdown with huge names from the get go, there's no sense of achievement climbing your way out of NXT. There's no anticipation for when you finally make your debut. There's no excitement when a big event on a timeline comes around, hoping you qualify, instead it's just there, a story event, waiting for you.

The singleplayer campaign is worse than ever. I don't know why they even bother letting you make your character's appearance if they're just going to butcher them and paste their own irritating voice and personality on top. MyRise™ would be greatly improved if there was no character voice at all, just options to choose.

I'm so thankful I didn't get this at full price. Shouts out Humble Bundle.

How could I forget the unforgivable tag team controls??

This seem like a nitpick, but I cannot stress enough that there USED TO BE, in previous games, a toggle option to keep control of your character when you tag out. THEY REMOVED IT. For absolutely no reason, it's gone.

God forbid you ever end up in a tag team match and you only want to control YOUR OWN character. Now you have to tediously make a manual switch every time a tag is made. If you take back control once you're tagged out, and you're tagged back in, a bot will take over control of your character until you switch again. This becomes especially irritating when you have more than one tag partner you have to cycle through.

This may not be a problem for most people, but for some it is, and they used to have an option in place for us, but now for no explained reason, it's removed.

Well worth the money even in its current state, can't wait to see what else they add :)

It goes way beyond a humorous tribute to early internet culture. It makes me wish the kind of storytelling in this game was possible in other mediums.

Sifting through charmingly goofy webpages made by wildly different characters to slowly piece together coherent and surprisingly touching stories was a delightful experience.

- Get locked into romantic relationships with NPCs when you're trying to be a supportive friend
- Can't advance quests if you don't long rest enough
- Can fail quests if you long rest too much
- You miss important content if you only follow quest markers (you need to mindlessly explore, or do things out of order)

The writing is great, it's just a shame it's hidden under paradoxical and messy systems.

There are a disproportionate number of negative reviews so here's a positive one.

Hardly any of the negative reviews are legitimate criticism lmao. The game is fun, just don't expect it to be exactly like left 4 dead.

This game scratches my roguelite itch in a way that nothing else can compare.

Good game, play it immediately.
