The game has a decent gameplay loop but there are some glaring issues that prevent me from recommending this game to people who do not have patience to deal with some of the bugs/design decisions currently in the game.

For starters, the in game tutorial is very bare bones and does not clearly outline the most essential things you should be doing the moment you get into the game. If you follow the tutorial you will be dying of thirst and/or poisoning before you can even complete it. There are a few fauna/flora that can instantly give you the poisoned status effect that will drain your health and kill you over the course of three days but there's only one item in the game that can make an antidote which may or may not even spawn on your starting island. Besides those bizarre gameplay decisions there are some pretty game breaking bugs that still aren't fixed all these years later. I just had to abandon a 15+ hour save because of a bug that prevents you from dismantling your crafted rafts, with the game claiming "this cannot be removed because a crafted item depends on it" even though I literally stripped it down to nothing and the only parts on it are the ones I'm trying to dismantle. Google will show you results from 2020 saying you should flip it over or edit your save file but nothing works at all.

I had the patience to scour google for tutorials on how to actually survive, and once I got the hang of things I had some fun for the first 14 hours, but the bugged raft situation honestly soured the whole experience for me. You need to spend a lot of time and effort to search for and gather the materials to make one and god help you if this bug randomly manifests during your playthrough.

If you do get this game, I highly recommend searching for a tutorial on youtube and disable the in-game one. And if you eventually get to the custom raft making, make ABSOLUTELY SURE that the layout/materials you go with is one you are willing to live with for the rest of the game, as you will encounter this bug and won't be able to do anything to fix it.

A good mindless shooter to shut your brain off and have a fun time with for a few hours.

Early Access Review
This is a great little alpha access gem with a lot of surprising depth and realism when it comes to car mechanics. I'm not a car guy at all so I went into this game pretty blindly car knowledge wise but ended up having a good time just figuring out how to navigate the back roads and make it home from the grocery store alive. As to be expected with any early access title there are a few bugs, but nothing that detracts from the overall experience too much.

Pros:
-Surprisingly in-depth car assembly
-Good car handling and engine simulation
-Decent car body deformation physics
-4 other vehicles to drive and do tasks in
-Genuinely creepy finnish nights
-Cursing and Relieving yourself on command

Cons:
-Frustrating crouching controls (Fixed in a recent update)
-Slow movement & sprinting speed
-Car body deforms when slightly walking into it or gently bumping with objects
-The game randomly unscrews parts in your car between saving and loading
-No pausing, game continues playing while in the escape menu

Besides the cons I listed, this is still definitely an alpha access title worth picking up and keeping an eye on as it developes.
