This game is impressive. It does something ambitious and for such a small team, I believe they execute and make a fun game. There's problems, a good handful of problems. Some of them are largely just bugs and polish, but some are part of the game mechanics that could be overhauled in a sequel. I found that I never really ran out of uCreds and the currency was near pointless after a few levels. I stuck with the same guns for the most part and upgraded them, there wasn't much of an incentive to try anything new. The side missions became quite drab and uniteresting after the first few. With such a cool world, it's a shame to not see the full breadth of the world explored. That said, I'm might impressed with this game from this team and I look forward to what they create next. My recommendation would be to hold off for a few more patches, but it's absolutely worth picking up. You've got a fan!

Man, this game has the potential to be really amazing but I am only a few hours in and frustrated by the sheer inability to play the game how I want it. If you don't upgrade properly and stealth out each enemy properly you will fail miserably. The range on some enemies is ridiculous and if you get caught in a bad spot you'll almost always be restarting from a save. I don't mind this in most cases, except almost every single encounter requires a meticulous plan because if there is a single enemy out of place, you won't be able to account for it. The stealth is fine but I wish it didn't rely on this mechanic. I could not imagine winning any encounters without stealthing out solo enemies first. I enjoyed the little time I had with this game but ultimately it's a bit too frustrating and unbalanced for my taste. The recommendation is more of a maybe from me - There are so many good things about the game. If you love very challenging games I would by all means try it.

I was a big fan of Limbo but I feel like this game doesn't do much different. It is eerie, odd, and uncomfortable and it makes for a really strange and beautiful game. The puzzles and platforming seems to be pretty average and I was extrodinarily bored after 2 hours. The deaths and the struggle are interesting in the same way Limbo was, but it quickly gets overshadowed. Maybe I'm stupid, but after getting stuck on one puzzle, I didn't feel like continuing any further. Nothing drove me to finish the game. I'm likely in the minority, but I'm disappointed by the game overall and would have preferred a lower pricepoint for this experience.

I'm a bit bummed that I let the reviews persuade me that this was a bad game. I'm glad I got it on sale but I think it's just a fine city building/RTS game. While I enjoyed the previous Anno games, I don't think this is much of an upgrade or downgrade. I must admit, I'm not a hardcore Anno player. I like the ease of understanding the systems and game mechanics and I'll probably put in a solid 20-30 hours before calling it quits. I think this is a great game for a casual player. I can't say for sure if this game will be challenging on higher levels, as I'm playing it on the easiest setting, but I quite enjoy it. It's fun, addicting, and does a good job of pushing you towards goals.

The missions and battles are a bit lackluster, I remember them being more exciting and requiring more strategy in previous games. Other city building games do city building better, but there are still solid elements to the moment to moment tasks. If you have high expecations, I'd say this isn't the game for you, but for a steam sale I'd say it's worth the time.

What a fantastic game! If you know anything about this game, it's what you would consider a "walking simulator" or first person exploration game. In a way, the narrative is spoon fed to you but the primary mechanic of the game is communicating what you want to say via your radio. I understand that some may have a problem with the climax or ending of the game, but what I can say is that this game is grounded. It left me feeling disappointed, but I somehow I understood it and I felt for the main character as I placed myself in his shoes. You can finish this game in about 4 hours and personally I find these types of concise narratives more enjoyable. The visuals are obviously fantastic and the voice acting is what brings the game alive. If the voice acting was sub-par, my review would be completely different. While reading other reviews it appears to be somewhat polar - But I do feel you have to play it for yourself to really understand what this game is about.

Is this supposed to make me depressed? I feel depressed.

Cool "game" - It's a bummer the "Delete Session Data" is counter intuitive and actually deletes your save game rather than remove the clips from your "session." That should really be renamed or there should be a more clear options menu. Very interesting so far but now that I have to start over I don't know if I'll actually get back to it to finish the game. Searching online seems to indicate that I'm not the only one.

This game does things really well, and then does other things really bad. I was giving it the benefit of the doubt that it was going to get better but the mission Crash Site is broken, poorly designed, and just not fun. Wasted an hour on this mission because I wanted to complete it and move on and it's impossible to complete. The game gets pacing wrong, difficulty wrong, and doesn't respect the players time. It's too bad because I really wanted to play a new great RTS. If you have the patience, this might be your game.

I rarely write reviews on Steam but this game deserves a firm "No". Even for the official release the game was met with progression timers and contained a very minimal amount of the promised features. I played this game for less than an hour and it was not worth the time. Overpromised and underdelivered, this is a poor game not worth anyone's money.
