A truly god tier game from Playdead. Hauntingly beautiful visual design that amazingly sets the dystopian world even more bleak which is absolutely brilliant, simple puzzles, story line that leaves you to interpret the meaning at the end of the game unless you get to the secret ending which makes superb sense, but insanely hard to find unless you go through walkthroughs.
Amazing sound design and soundtrack.
Game can roughly be finished in 2-3 hours, played it twice on my Steamdeck - once for the game and second for all the achievements.

Starship Troopers : Terran Command is a restrictively fun game. Lot of the campaign is a mix of what you would have played in other RTS games like Escort Missions, Survive missions et cetra. not much new there. I loved the movie, the first one, not the garbage that came after it. Expected some of the heroes of the movie to make some sort of cameo, maybe it was out of their budget. The game feels great in terms of their use of content(like bug variation and troop variations) and the scale of the fight, like getting swarmed by bugs when your troops are in bunker is satisfyingly fun when you win it.
Unfortunately so far (I am in mission 6, 9.3 hours in) the game restricts you in building a massive force against the bugs, I think this is done for the sake of optimization. Some of the mechanics in the game is its downfall, crossfire is one of these. The game forces you to micromanage crossfire between troops to prevent friendly fire(which is a bloody headache especially when moving the troops across the battlefield) that can be solved with troop formation (like found in AoE) and a bit better AI.
Troop AI gets the job done but rather clumsily. Troops will get burnt, spit and will right up walk through enemy bugs, if not ordered otherwise. You will need to handhold them as so far i have not seen a waypoint system.
Map palette is the same through out the campaign dirt, desert or cavern system.
The game has 19 missions including the tutorial, I am currently in my 6th mission as of writing this review.
I believe a lot of the game's issue can be easily fixed and hoping it does. I hope the devs give a horde mode for this game as its perfect for it.

An insanely fast paced FPS with deep combat mechanics, tight platforming with frame to frame control inputs. Brilliant lore that is truly worth exploring the world of Doom Eternal (also helps reduce your heart rate after a fight). Fun multiplayer with constant updates with new demons to play and balance updates.
Ancient Gods I and II are great DLCs however the new Spirit Enemy is way too over powered when they capture demons that dont have weakness like Hell Knight, Dread Knight, and Marauder make the fight insanely annoying and problematic. Since it breaks the combat mechanics set in Doom Eternal.
