I've been having an amazing time trying out Oh Baby Kart

The maps are a real highlight. There are currently 40 of them, and they're just beautiful to look at and race through. Most are hits, a few are misses, but for the most part they're well designed and feel great. Plus the devs often add new ones, so it doesn’t really get boring.

Unlike Mario Kart where your vehicle matters most, this game is about the characters that have their own stats and special abilities like various speed boosts or shooting extra items. There’s a wide roster of them, and sometimes interesting licensing deals like the ones from Spongebob, Filian VTuber and Invader Zim character packs. You can buy these special packs, but there’s no pressure to spend since you can unlock quite a bit just through playing

Matchmaking is super fast, typically instant. Whether you're teaming up with friends or queuing up with randoms. They've even got guilds if you're looking for something more organized.
You can also make custom lobbies for larger groups of people

Customization is another big plus. You can personalize your karts and characters with skins, accessories or pets that follow you around. All these things can be earned through gameplay or traded on the in-game marketplace which adds a nice layer of depth to the game.
Also a (free) seasonal pass that unlocks new items per player level and loot crates to roll a kart skin or other rare items

The devs are really proactive, too. They keep in touch with the community, take feedback seriously, and are always adjusting things, which is great to see.

The few negative things I have to say are very minor. The UI could use some love—it feels a bit clunky, especially when you’re trying to pick your setup. And the pet animations could definitely use some work. Right now, they kind of just float around like weird little balloons. Some of the skins, although rare and fun to flex, look a bit rough and maybe could be polished. Such as the Cosmic and Fireworks ones


I find myself playing OBK way more than I ever played Mario Kart and wouldn't want to go back. It’s more accessible, engaging, and just fun. If kart racing is your thing, definitely give it a try. I’d rate it a solid 9/10

Game for filthy degenerates

Really bad port, crashes all the time

This is good but slightly overrated, the world is large but extremely boring and most of your play time will be walking large distances because the fast travel is expensive.
The combat system is really good and the monsters are original
The story is a bit boring but still interesting and worth going through
I didn't like the dungeons, no puzzles at all just many dead ends with boring treasures that you won't really care about.

7/10 I won't ever touch this game again but I enjoyed it. Buy on sale
