The game gives you what you expect from a doom game, a demon filled slaughterfest. On top of that they have filled the game with lore subtly, through pick ups and area discoveries in such a way that it does not impose on those that just wish to kill their way to the next objective, but allowing those that are interested a side objective to find every scrap of information.

The game has various difficulty settings, allowing for a comfortable / challenging play through for players of every skill level.

The soundtrack fits the setting perfectly and is well deserving of the acclaim various gaming communities have heaped upon it.

Overall a great game that i have played through a number of times, I look forward to the sequel.
