nice way of blending vampire gameplay with BR, feels great, lots of potential, hopefully it will be nurtured and updated.

-great mobility and movement,
-fun mechanics
-performance was okay for me sofar, but optimization never hurts would like to utilize my high Hz monitor
-gunplay is a little arcadey, like in fortnite, but it is what it is, it's enjoyable, could use some love tho
-the look of the game could be ironed out but after going through the options it's way better
-fast looting nice flow

Hopeful about this one, sofar really enjoying it, hopefully it will be taken care of and updated. Wish there were a bit more players in one match, and PLEASE ADD DUOS. Also it would be nice if you could change your character regardless of archetype. You really can't see which char you're up against in all the action (and darkness) anyway

Okay, this game is actually truly great. I've put 170 hours in this game, here's what I can say: Disregard the haters & naysayers, this is actually a very good game and you're missing out if you don't pick it up (if you have a good PC to run it on).

The most important thing you should expect of Cyberpunk is: That it's mainly a story game. The story, writing and characters are by far the strongest part of the game, it is amazing, and it's supported by the superb graphics, fun gameplay, and decent RPG elements, and a huge amazing map/city. You should spend most your time and attention playing the storylines, side stories, and the main story. Without going into spoilers, I HEAVILY advise you play through the higher-narrative sidestory quests in the game before finishing the main story, for various reasons. First off, there are multiple endings to the main story, and you unlock the ability to chose which path you want to take by completing various sidestory missions, but if you don't, and just speedrun the main missions, you'll just end up with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending out of all. Second of all, it's just worth it to play through the sidestories to experience them, you'll get attached to these amazing characters, and really feel what it's like to live in Night City.
Curb your expectations on the open-world side, it's decent but you won't really find too many side-activities to do in the game, most of the open-world content is delivered in missions with some larger or smaller story attached to them, and various encounters which only sometimes involves a storyline. The best side-activity you can do imho is exploring, as you'll run into a ton of secrets hidden in this HUGE city, even some hidden missions/stories you would otherwise not find. As for customization, don't expect any, you can buy cars, but can't costumize them.
As for character building, you do have 5 trees you can pick from, they're fun nothing too complicated (think Borderlands. Actually the whole game is kinda like the open world lovechild of Deus Ex games and Borderlands, with amazing story and characters added), however to me it seems no matter which tree you go for, they snowball pretty hard in terms of power, you get really OP with time, since all trees have some superstrong perks you can pick. The combat is really fun though no matter what kind of character you go for. You can build for 4 types of guns, or you can go melee combat with either swords, blunt weapons, or fists (last one I can't recommend). You can also go for a hacker build, which is very well thought-out, you can take out hordes of enemies just by hacking into 1-2 of them, or hacking into nearby camera systems, it's surprisingly elaborate. And lastly you can also go for a stealth build, which was very fun too (imagine Deus Ex stealthing with more options to take out enemies and make your way from A to B), it works very well, you can go for using knives to take out people, or silenced guns, or your own hands.
One of the coolest things is Cybernetics though, you can get various cybernatic implants for your body, which have a huge positive effect on your gameplay, they can massively change how you play (I recommend getting the double-jump implant asap, it's marvelous for mobility, almost turns the game into Mirror's Edge) stuff like being able to slow down time, jets to hover with, weapons in your arms, they're very good. The crafting system in the game is okay, nothing special, pretty straightforward, sometimes not that well thoughtout though.

Again though, the best part of the game is the story, and you should view it as getting into a great story-driven game imho. I was blown away by it, and the choices you can make are great (although sometimes are just illusions) and can impact the outcome of various storylines, and can sometimes even change how future sidestories play out. It honestly took me back to old Bioware (KOTOR) times, except that here you really get attached to the characters if you play through the sidestories, I hope we'll see more games pulling this off at this level in the future. The writing and the actors are superb, really gotta hand it to them.

Also THE MUSIC IS AMAZING. The music on story-heavy parts are extremely good, like sometimes even Hans Zimmer level good, very emotional, fits the world and scenes perfectly. The radio-stations are also very good (just sorta have to accept that this is music imagined ~50+ years from now).

With regards to replayability, it's pretty good, if you enjoy story driven stuff, it's worth it to recommend playing through the game as the opposite sex you chose since some story stuff is locked to gender, and just seeing how stuff turns out had you went with different choices. (btw i personally highly recommend playing a male on your first playthrough, suits the story better).

Now to address the elephant in the room: Yes of course there are technical issues, but it's by far not as bad as people make it out to be, especially with edited together videos. The game isn't optimized too well, although not too bad either, I could run it on max settings at a stable 60 fps 1080p on a 5+ year old rig. You absolutely need an SSD, or the loading will make the game glitch out too many times. The worse your PC is the more bugs you are going to get, period. Otherwise you won't run into such an amount of bugs that it will ruin your experience. Of course you will bump into them from time to time because the game and the world is massive, it's insane to think that a game THIS complex won't have any glitches, you WILL find some, but not as much as people would make you think. It's extremely rare to find one that's actually gamebreaking. As for the AI: it's okay, not too smart, some improvements would be nice since the game is really easy even on very hard difficulty, but it gets the job done. The police AI on the otherhand is complete garbage though, just ignore police even exist in the game (there's no point in doing illegal stuff anyway).
The only other negative thing I can say is that it sucks that higher-narrative storyquests are marked the same as the one-off gig quests, so you don't know for sure if a quest you're going for is one of the amazing sidestories, unless you check your journal and pick them from there.

Anyway, The game is a solid 8/10. If they optimize the game, fix stuff, maybe even restore some cut content, it'll easily be a 9/10, if there will be an enhanced GOTY edition ever, may easily be a 10 by then.
Expect "Deus Ex" meets "Borderlands" gameplay accompanied by an AMAZING story & characters and a huuge open world with incredible music.

Absolutely cannot recommend this game until it's at least optimized. Right now the optimization and lag is really bad. Forget playing if you don't have an SSD, and I hope you're not used to your bullets registering, cause that goes out of the window in this game, at least on EU. Right now don't pick it up even on sale.

I was surprised to find out that all the people who say the game is really badly optimized, they weren't overstating it one bit. It really is the worst. I've never played such an unoptimized game in my life, and I've played a ton of Korean ones...

Don't pick ARK up until they optimize it.
