ABOUT
The Bristol University Computer Gaming Society (COGS) is for people interested in playing games on pcs, consoles and handhelds. We have a membership of around 130 people, and welcome all who share our interests. Our main events are the LAN parties held at the students union around twice each term, where we play a variety of games, both old and new, covering almost all genres.
FACILITIES
COGS also has a dedicated server on the university network. It is open to all, and currently boasts dedicated servers for Unreal Tornament 2004, Team Fortress 2 and Teamspeak.
INTERESTS
We are eager to develop inter-university gaming links and friendships, and to that end we have weekly friendly games of UT04 (6pm) and CS:S (8pm) on every sunday which all students from all universities are welcome to join in (contact for obtaining the IP and any required passwords are below).
CHALLENGES
We take most things pretty casually, but if you fancy a more organised game get in touch and we'll take you on!
CONTACT
To contact feel free to drop in on the irc channel, #COGSBristol on zirc.org, which can also be accessed via pre-configured applet at the link below. Or email us at cogs.bristol@hotmail.com
