Probably the best RGG game

It's good

Unbelievably good level generation with a ton of high-risk, high-reward situations with every dungeon. The game has a lot of aspects that make it feel like a traditional roguelike and a large variety of scrolls, potions and items to identify on every run. There is a decent amount of enemy variety and a number of unique bosses that can show up. There are even puzzles that add variety to some floors, although they can be frustrating.

The game has some serious technical problems though. There is frequent screen tearing and crashes are a somewhat regular occurrence. Luckily in my experience there is a save game immediately before the crash so I haven't lost any progress.

The greatest puzzle game ever made. 30+ hours of flawlessly crafted puzzles with simple mechanics.

The best roguelike you can buy. There is an insane amount of depth regarding class choices, race choices, skill choices, optional sidequests, difficulty levels and a deep, engrossing storyline with all sorts of lore. My favorite feature is the in-game chat where you can ask any questions that you might have during the game which is much simpler than trying to dig through a wiki or forum. It sacrifices some of the more traditional roguelike features, namely having permadeath disabled by default (there is an option for it) and not requiring the player to eat. Additionally, the world is mostly static with some of the dungeons being static as well. Of course, the large majority of dungeons are randomly generated so there is always a changing strategy. My favorite roguelike, 10/10.

I can't find anything negative to say about LYNE. It's wonderfully simple, visually pleasing and the ambient soundtrack is the most soothing I've experienced in a game like this. There are a lot of puzzles to be done with a good increase in difficulty throughout the game. As if that wasn't enough, there are daily puzzles as well. Wrap all of this up into a $3 package and you have one of the best puzzles games you can buy regardless of price.

Another Introversion hit. Yes, the game is currently in alpha. Yes, it shows. It's more of a sandbox game currently, so if you enjoy challenging yourself to build better prisons you will almost certainly enjoy it. Updates come out every month and add a good amount of gameplay. Highly recommended title, even in an alpha state.
