The art direction is a bit lackluster, but the more you play, the more you can bear it, and maybe even appreciate it. Gameplay is top notch and arguably an improvement from Civ V. $12 was too good of a deal to pass up, and Im glad I didn't. Controversial art direction, great gameplay.
