Great presentation and novel gameplay, helldivers is something I'm very excited to put many hours into in the future, combine that with a 40 dollar price point and a battlepass that you can earn for free? Yea, I'm pretty much all in.

Game currently sits at mix because the server are having issues...on launch day. It seems people's impatience has become quite bad with this release, would recommend without reservation.

This game rocks. Fast paced and frenetic action in an excellent looking game, especially fun with friends. Nothing to lose if you don't end up liking it, it's free!

If you like roguelikes, VR, and shooting, then this game covers all of the foundationals of those wonderfully.

Combine that with a thin spread of ww2 firearms (all marked up with religious imagery, of course) an excellent aesthetic and a good variety of classes/items/enemies and that's the Light Brigade.

It's kind of a hidden gem and I haven't seen any of my friends talking about it, so I'm posting this review in part as a recommendation to everybody I know who owns a VR headset and likes these kinds of games.

One thing in particular I noticed is the sheer volume of settings; when it comes to being able to tweak and tailor the feeling of the controls (VERY Important in VR!) there's a ton of options and I really was not left wanting.

It's not at Binding of Isaac levels of variety yet, but they've been churning out new stuff fairly regularly, so expect some more in the future, too.

Very short game. Around two hours in total.

Boring meandering intro, pretty good middle section that rewards exploration and gets you into the groove, followed by back to back to back bossfights that are either tedious or boring (never too hard) where the game loads you up on so many supplies beforehand that none of the previous exploration matters.

Also introduces mechanics -after- they would have been useful (Like the shotgun which can permanently kill enemies that you get AFTER the section that requires lots of backtracking.)

Doesn't have an actual ending nor resolution to the plot or goals of the main character, just a cliffhanger.

Love this game. Camos are cool and I use them all, but really I just want to put money towards supporting ITR2 and all that it's promising.

If you're looking for "New Vegas Space Edition" or "Star Citizen Finished Edition" this game will leave you sorely dissapointed.

It can be more accurately described as a hybrid between Fallout 4's combat/quests/"RPG" mechanics and No Man Sky's exploration/discovery/basebuilding with the added benefits of a really nice ship-building system and even a bit of Skyrim's shouts.

That, and it's far and above the least buggy Beth release to date.

If, like me, that sounds like a game you would like, then you will thoroughly enjoy Starfield.

I have a lot of love in my heart for IXION. I'm really not good at city builders, I've just got some awful mind for urban planning, so I really have trouble getting into them, the only city builder that ever really roped me in was Frostpunk due to it's -excellent- story and unique mechanics.

IXION is the second city builder to do that, owing to, again, it's spectacular story and unique mechanics. I think Frostpunk manages to hit the mark a bit better when it comes to discussions of "making tough choices for the success of the city"; while IXION really only dips it's toes in that regard, focusing more on things like exploration and the development of the Tiqqun itself.

I could go on about the story but I'd hate to give up the ghost. If you like Frostpunk's you'll like IXION's and if you just like space in general or themes of sci-fi apocalypse you'll probably get your money's worth out of this game. That, and it has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ banger soundtrack.

All-in-all, IXION won a special place in my heart after a first playthrough and left me having enjoyed it enough that I want to go back and beat it on something harder than easy (Which really was easy even for a moron mayor like myself.)

Very tight experience and a natural development of the Amnesia gameplay, adding a small collection of items that let you engage with both the map and the enemy.

If you like the Dark Descent, you'll like this, took me about 4 hours to beat which is on the shorter sight, but it's a pretty airtight experience altogether.

Unapologetic, frenzied ultraviolence wrapped up in a pretty retro package.

It's perfect, and more games should be like it.
