PROS:

- Unique and persistent world.
- Large scale battles.
- Lots of Camos and customizations to be had.
- Abundance of weapons.
- Many different playstyles available.
- Lots of player generated tutorial content.
- Active developers.
- Construction update adds some new scenarios.
- When the game is fun...WOW IS IT FUN!!

Cons:

- Extremely steep learning curve exacerbated by age of game and veteran players.
- Base designs do not support player counts.
- Difficult, unintuitive, and poorly documented shooting mechanics.(User tutorials required)
- Poor starting vehicle weapons.(The first tank you're likely to use can't fight tanks :S.)
- Every weapon and/or vehicle seems to bear the scars of past nerfs.
- Poor descisions regarding class responsibility have created a class that is the best at all aspects of infantry play.
- The game lacks an overall meaningful object that has lasting effects.
- The construction system is a bit shallow and AI controlled defenses are very unbalanced.
- Hardware required to play smoothly is much too high due to poor optimization.
- Server performance is mediocre at best.
- Client-side hit detection makes many deaths non-sensical and frustrating.

TO BE FAIR:

It's is fun once you get the hang of it,but that won't be for 100's of hours. You'll have to pick your fights carefully and if you decide you want to play solo..i.e. not join an outfit, that will amplify the difficulty.

The construction system adds some flavor to the game, but I've rarely seen it employed to it's full potential, who knows maybe others have. Minining for resources is tedious at best and construction system is shallow.

I am not going to recommend this game to the casual FPS player. If you're coming from games like BF4 you'll probably give up on the game because of the shooting mechanics alone. If you're willing to spend 100's of hours to experience about 10 instances of the highest level of enjoyment this game can provide....I'd say go for it. I can't put a sideways thumb.

yes. cod kids can't aim with velocity and gravity on the line. they try to shoot straight at 5 km and wonder why they don't hit something.....

GTX 650. It's old hardware and I get 60 fps on low and 30 fps on high settings. I call that good optimization.

Nice try, Cobra. Server-sided perfomance is not the users fault. Typical retard

This game is very optimized for what it is. I find hit detection spot on. Don't listen to haters with potatoes (that will claim they have are running 2 1080s) :steamfacepalm:

By "shooting mechanics" do you mean client-side hit detection, or overall gameplay mechanics?

I have a GTS 450 and this game runs fine. I actually believe its one of the best optimized games on the market.
