For further context, Rimworld and Satisfactory weren't hitting right for me, and I had tried ONI years ago as well. i fondly remembered it (and Don't Starve) as being charming but not something i could really get into I returned to ONI to check out the Spaced Out DLC and realize now that Klei have knocked it out of the park with this one.

Forager is a delightful palate-cleanser for fans of the explore/craft genre. The game combines story/questing elements from games like Terraria and crafting/automation elements from games like Factorio but at much smaller, charming scale. I normally do not like too much "story" in my crafting games, but everything is this game is so *quaint* that it won me over. And, it does not want to take over your entire life, just about 10-20 hours of it. Sometimes, that is exactly what you need!
