2K idea of "Quality of life" update is inserting a launcher that drops performance and crashes your game (even more issues on Linux/SteamDeck), just so they can advertise you more of their products.

Just get the original game, its just as great in 1080p/1440p.

Bypass 2k launcher with launch command (use your own steam library path):

Game itself without the launcher is absolutely awesome no matter what year you are playing it in! Plus works great on Linux and SteamDeck!
