Game is awesome. There are some bugs which is to be expected on day 1, but they don't break the game. They are merely hilarious, like guys standing on tables, walking up to cars and having them randomly flip over at you knocking you on your butt etc, it's not like a Creation Engine problem where the game is completely destroyed because of it, the game itself, is solid.

This is a very heavy game. And by heavy I mean there is a lot to compute/process. As a result, my system, which currently comprises of i7-7700l @ 4.9ghz, 16gb Corsair LPX 3200Mhz DDR4, 1080ti GTX and an Acer Predator X34 ultrawide @ 3440x1440 gets its ass handed to it on high. Clearly I'm not able to use RTX as the card is a series below the entry point, however I have been able to find a stable configuration on Medium at about 70-80FPS constant.

The game appears to miss the mark on the expectations for social politics and instead merely glosses over them a bit with a considered nod towards individualism and acceptance to "be whoever the hell you want to be but we're not going to dive too deeply into this, sorry" and that's fine. Over inflating politics in computer games is rubbish. Sure they are meant to be thought provoking and attempt to get ideas and narratives across from the developers, but they have restrained themselves from trying to force any particular political narrative down the players throat, this is a good thing.

I genuinely feel bad for console players however. The almost-promise of "next gen consoles are better than new PC's" mantra was bandied far and wide for a while up until the launch of the PS5 and Xbox however since their arrival, they've proven to be lacklustre and PC gaming performance had already taken over before their actual launch. Sure it costs more to build a PC which competes with a console of such power and quality, however the ability for upgrades etc makes them a far superior alternative. To this end, I'm actually very grateful that the developers made this title as a "PC first and then we'll get it working on consoles as best we can" scenario. It should NEVER be the other way around. Never should old technology be used as the platform for developing game titles for the hardware that is more current, always develop for new and work backwards from there. So I'm not surprised in the least to hear that console players are experiencing issues and have severe graphical downgrades as a result, this was always going to happen, there should never be an apology for this.

I'm currently 5 hours into the campaign and I'm enjoying what I'm seeing so far and from what I have experienced so far, I am most likely going to go back and play through the remaining 2 character arcs to see what's what as there is a lot of replayability present.

Solid game. Do rate. Buy it. Ignore the gender politics. Have fun.
