After level 30 the lifes are lies, the tower falls and you lose all your lives. Later levels are just based on luck, or trial and error with placement possitions. Terrible to play with keyboard

I'm glad this game exists; as it keeps the cancerous player base busy and away from more interesting modern team games where some team coordination is actually needed.
I liked counter strike from 0.3 beta - 1.6, but this is garbage.

Have fun smurfin & cheating as this game offers nothing else. Dont forget to buy 50 copies during the sales so you can cheat and smurf your way to the next sale with a new email every week.

A great game, definately worth buying for strategy fans! A few minor flaws which I can be easily fixed/modded.

My first play through I lost bad due to my decisions on the world map. I was acing the missions, but was wasting resourcing, made bad research choices and built my base up badly, and made poor choices on the event choices.

+ Game looks great, all the DOF/bokeh, bloom, real time lighting and other effects that wasnt in xcom 1 mean you need a much better pc. Its 2016 ffs get a pc that can do dx 11 at a high fps
+ Modding changes the game entirely, play through as intended then mod the s*** out of it to get rid of timers

-/+ Too many timers, however the game would be way to easy without timers, you would just have a team of snipers and 1 scout and you would own the map. They should have introduced an anti sniper alien and removed most of the timers.
- Some bugs would make iron man mode unplayable
- Rarely get to choose your own evact point

Some new Xcom frustration moments
* 1 turn from getting to the evact and the evact gets destroyed and respawns on the other side of the map
* I'm more terrified of Faceless enemies than the Crysalis

A fun party game which still has a lot to offer in single player mode!
