Pretty flippin' good

I suck at rhythm games and I've never really played a visual novel before - but this game just felt good to play. I expected more rhythm mini-games to play, especially given the music is so good but it didn't stop me from enjoying the game.

Truly a lovely surprise to play.

If Doom 2 and Doom Eternal had a baby, and that baby was raised by a space marine, you'd get this game

I'm really not fussed about farming stuff, but this DLC adds a heap of content including the ability to extend houses! The grappling hook felt a bit gimmicky until I realised just how much easier things are with it.

The only issues I've experienced so far is a cosmetic bug where, for some reason, I always had a tile in my hand when doing non-tile related stuff, like planting trees or cleaning. Good potential awaits with this one!

Another fantastic jump-scare horror from EMIKA_GAMES. Play time is relatively short, just like other games by this developer, but the scares are fun and frequent. Graphics settings are unfortunately reset after each loading screen as with other games, but not so much of a problem if you remember to switch them back. I hope this issue is fixed in future.

If you are new to EMIKA_GAMES, this is a great game to get a feel for the other games. And remember, just because you finish this game in an hour does not mean you should refund it. Support small developers. they deserve it!

I'm borderline giving this game a positive review.

The good:
* Atmosphere is great
* Tension is fun
* Gameplay is good

The bad:
* Bosses will one-hit kill you
* Save system is... buggy
* Dodging feels wonky

All in all, I had a lot of fun playing this game, but it definitely had tedious aspects to it. Dodging felt like a gamble a lot of the time and the one-hit kills from bosses were frustrating. The atmosphere of the game is really well done and I never found myself bored with the content.

My system never really had issues running this title, but the latest patch caused two crashes on my last few hours of the game. The game gives you the option to manually save, however loading a save takes you to the last checkpoint you reached. This was frustrating on a certain boss fight where you can use a reforge prior to it - except on every load you'd need to re-do everything you'd done prior (eg, looting, crafting). This became tedious after dying several times and having to repeat everything again even after placing a manual save.

The gameplay itself was a blast and I found myself constantly on edge. It's a great action horror title to have in your collection and with further bug fixes and tweaks it could make a great experience to come back to every couple of years.

I'm having an absolute blast with this game so far. I was worried when people were complaining about performance issues but I've not had any so far with my 3070 on high settings. Looking forward to playing through the rest of this game and writing a more in-depth review
