Game rocks - I suck at it and I still come back for more.

Gameplay is a solid step up from TGC2 - still a few lingering issues (lack of spin on some shorter irons) but overall a very fun game of golf.

Pros:
- Recovery from rough and sand is much better/less frustrating than TGC2
- putting is still the same - well done and now has better placement of putting marker for those that don't understand how to use it - making it less frustrating for new users
- crowds in grandstands (minor but much better looking now)
- change settings in society events per round

Cons:
- lots of little nagging bugs that will hopefully be patched - biggest ones for us at TGC Tours are to do with setting up Society events (trouble editing already created events), wrong pins/conditions in some rounds but expect these to be cleaned up shortly
- Career mode can still have some more bells/whistles - like proper implementation of tee times

Overall, gameplay is still it's biggest selling point and is well worth full price for any golf fan looking for the latest golf game. Like TGC2, there are many other features that are just OK or good that with a little attention become very good. Hopefully they will support the game longer than TGC2 to get this one up to its full potential and not leave the fixes for the next iteration.

A lot of the things great with TGC 2019 gameplay should probably have been implemented in patches for TGC2.

Overall, great game and will hook you in if you are a fan of golf.

Gameplay is a huge step up from TGC1 - must buy for that alone.

* Driving the ball requires concentration, not automatic on fairway anymore
* balls don't stick on red/yellow slopes on greens, they now roll back (yay!)
* flopping has been nerfed from TGC1 - much more realistic and has potential for a duff/skull now
* chipping much improved
* wind doesn't affect chips or pitches like it did in TGC1
* putting is still excellent (they didn't mess with best feature of TGC1)
* reverse cams available on call now
* dial a distance is a thing of the past - lofting limited per club
* many more improvements to list

There are a few limitations on the Career and Societies that I hope are addressed down the road but are easy to live with initially.

The amount of issues they fixed in the gameplay is worth the buy alone - it's just so fun to get out and play a round on with Tour clubs and have to actually concentrate off the tee!

Thx HB! See you at the 19th hole!

The Golf Club is a great golf game that has the best putting of any golf game I've ever played - once you understand it! The graphics are great and with new themes being released it's only getting better. There's no reason to not try it if you like golf - it's definitely more on the sim side than arcarde at this point which is pefectly fine by me. For those looking for a bit more (career) come visit us at www.tgctours.com and enjoy an enhanced experience with The Golf Club.
