Fantastic game for modding, and the DLC is well thought out and if anything add support and frameworks for more mods. Even vanilla the game has tremendous depth, with mods it brings it down to mariana trench levels.

A divisive game, the less built-up expectations going into it the better you'll receive it, which sadly doesn't gel with the years-long marketing campaign behind it. Thankfully I managed to avoid almost all of it, watching the announcement trailer and deciding to buy it right there and then, followed by forgetting about it entirely until seeing it up for preorder in steam years later.

Buy it if you:
- Didn't buy into the hype. From what I'm seeing, it failed to deliver on a number of promsises.
- Want something completely utterly alien, difficult to comprehend. What very well might be the endpoint of technology, of human society.
- Enjoy the works of artists such as HR Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński.
- Want something that is utterly unique, of which no other experience compares.
- Want to be disturbed by creeping dread juxtaposed against haunting beauty.

Don't buy it if you:
- Want to play as a character that's competent at gunplay. You might find this game a struggle.
- Don't want to backtrack. This game has gorgeous environments, and it has you tread backwards and forwards through them.
- Want something long to sink your teeth into. It's a highly condensed game.
- Want a comprehensible story. This game relies purely on its environment, requiring conjecture and assumption as to what's exactly going on. Maybe the art book would help here, but a lot was cut and left out that's in the artbook.
- Get frustrated at knee-high walls you can't clamber over, though in most locations the devs put a healthy amount of debris in the way there were still a few situations I felt I could've clambered through.

The car body dents if you faintly fart near it, the store desperately needs an adjustable wrench, at one point in the build the physics caused the car to jump up and down forever like it had hydraulics, the muffler didn't fit until I saved and reloaded, my van was rear ended by a car that hadn't had any brakes programmed in, causing me to walk for half an hour back to my van that had spilled all the shopping bag contents everywhere, I wouldn't have it any way please don't fix any of these lest you break the magic voodoo spell this game has on me 10/10 best pissing simulator since Postal 2 but in that game you couldn't fill coolant with your wee.
