Every extract feels like you escaped just in time, and had fun doing it.
Every failure feels like fun.
Every friendly fire incident feels like a cheeky indulgence without the penalty to either party.
Every dead bug and Automaton blown into low-orbit with a comically over-sized bomb makes you want to get straight to the next mission.
Every atmospheric effect on the planet's surface makes you want to manoeuvre your personal destroyer into orbit above yet another planet to fight for the cause (and drop absurdly OTT ordinance on the enemy.

If you liked Dirt Rally 2.0, you'll like this.
The handling is the same great gravel and snow/ice from 2.0, but with some nice subtle upgrades to them both.
Tarmac handling is massively improved and takes some time to get used to, but once you do, you'll be able to feel all kinds of detail for on the edge handling.

There are some performance issues with the initial release that affect some people more than others, make sure you set to get 60FPS or higher or it won't feel right.
Patches are getting released to improve performance.

Overall, the stages are a huge amount of fun and i highly recommend picking this up.

I'm about 40 hours in now and feel like i haven't even scratched the surface. It's a massive physics update since DR1 (we don't talk about D4 :( ) and you have so much more control of your car on just the throttle alone.

Good graphics and lighting updates, more genuine recordings of the cars being portrayed and everything just feels like a lot of fun. Some really scary flat out sections in stages to the point where even though it's essentially straight, you feel scared to keep the pedal planted 100%.

The promised support plan post launch for the game is great news and they've already revealed the first DLC pack contents to be ready in a month or two, plenty of new cars and locations in the base game and the DLC.

All the fun of the fair, so long as the fair offers great rally cars from the 60's on through to modern times. Some great memories, satisfying handling and effort to realism on top of some really good looking graphics at the higher settings.

Currently monthly released expansion packs with updates/fixes at the same time or in between. Would buy again :)

Just when you thought it can't get any more ridiculous.... Plenty of 80's style references as well as a few more modern ones, in fact it's probably more 80's than the 80's were.

Short version, watch it, it's 30 minutes of my life that i'd gladly give again if i can watch this.

Fixes the annoyances with SC2013 and adds new and satisfying options. Doesn't look as pretty but it gets the job done and gives you loads more to play with.

Thoroughly enjoyed this when i came out originally, really enjoying going back to it with what are extremely well done HD textures and sound.

The sound was re-done from the original data found on dat tapes, excellent work and a very worthy re-master, worth buying.
