Psycho Train looks great… and this is pretty much sums up everything that is good in this hidden object game.

Long version:
Psycho Train (which for some reason also has the Mystery Masters title, even though it is just a brand name for Alawar’s hidden object games) isn’t exactly a shining example of the hidden object genre. Sure, it has many scenes and they all sport a nice graphical design, but beyond that it offers very little.

The story is as clichéd as possible: you play as a mother who searches for her kidnapped daughter through a set of randomly changing scenery, which may or may not have some connection to trains. There is no actual plot and only a skeleton of supporting cast. This is a small favour though, since none of the dialogues serve a shred of purpose.

The gameplay has exactly one recipe from beginning to end: find a half-finished contraption, complete it by solving some easy puzzles and a few good hidden object scenes twice, then proceed to the next contraption.

Buying this game here may convince Alawar though to release their good stuff like the Stray Souls series on Steam, so for that it can be worth it.
